Go anywhere in the EU (European Union) and try to buy some types of herbs without a doctor's prescription--you can't!

I'm all for the FDA inspecting things for truth-in-labeling but only for the stated contents. That was the original intent of the 1906 Pure Food and Drug Act. It was never the intent to make things illegal. It was the intent to make it so you could buy ham or jam or whatever and get what you expected; NEVER to make things illegal to buy.

This is ridiculous.  Here the FDA catering once again to pharmaceuticals to stop something healthy from preventing you from getting sick. They are doing this in every state in the country.

Listen to the owner, I do not know what they want.... they want you out of business and total control over foods, vitamins, anything that makes you healthier so you will not need their drugs. Follow the money.

I am on the Republican Health care plan, DONT GET SICK.

First they came for the raw milk, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a dairy farmer. Then they came for the elderberry juice, and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a vintner. Then they came for the.... :)

@ThyeWinterGardens Heard the other day that they are trying to make mega doses of Vitamin C illegal and are doing it.

Even kids know if you get too much vitamin C you will just pee it out...

They are coming for vitamins and nutrients now because we did not speak out about raw un-pasteurized milk/juices and healthy foods.

Ever notice that the bacteria is almost always in the large corps' production facilities, not the small mom and pop's facilities. They hate that and max out the paperwork.

Apparently it really works. Otherwise, the FDA would not care if it was sold. Check out the history of Red Yeast Rice. When it first came out, people were using it for cholesterol treatment. It knocked your cholesterol down to normal levels within three weeks. All of a sudden, FDA claims it is dangerous and the key ingredient was taken out of US produced Red Yeast Rice. Now, you can buy it all you want and it is useless.

I noted that there was a delegation from the US that went to NZ to tour one of your milk production plants. Plants where, BTW, they make STERILE milk - no food value whatsoever. You can't even make cheese from it.

@n9viwil It's OK there are still vitamins on the shelves but once WW3 starts (or the US dollar dies completely) people will be too drowned out by propaganda to be heard protesting about the manufactured world food shortage.

It is only just beginning. You can thank the Food Safety Modernization Act. An unfettered FDA who claims that we have no particular right to consume the foods we wish to consume. Elderberry wine, raw milk....it has only just begun.
