best daytona 500 of that decade. come on, all that drama the last hour of this race. gordon getting spin on the restart, mark martin's spin on the last lap, marlin trying to fix his car, what an idiot. plus the big one was epic too.

I remember how frustrating this day was, but I was shocked at how I kind of took it in stride just like Tony did. I still believed he'd win the title. By midseason I doubted it, obviously it all worked out in the end.

@HomeDepot20TS I did not like that wretched black and white sharkfin scheme on the side. I love his 1999-2001 scheme it just went well with the Home Depot logo.

@mantisjr I don't, mainly because I only saw 2 DAYTONA 500's end in the day (2004 and 2005), before this year's Daytona 500. LOL. I was suprised that it didn't end at night this year. LOL

Thank you, I have been looking for this race for a long time. Brings back memories. Notice at 0.39 he makes a white mark on the bottom left of the video and it does not go away til 3.09. RIP Benny we miss you.

you can say that again, i have said for years hes got the SR curse. ive seen all 11 of the races he has run, and something always happens, crashes, engines, passed going down the back on the last lap ( i was sick for a week after that) ONly thing he hasnt done is run out of gas or hit a seagull.

Also i miss BP and the silent lap 3. Now lets get out there and have good 500 today boys!
