not so crazy on how they changed the constumes, but I guess every country has a diff style to it. The czech look more actual cat like, but I do prefer the traditional ones more.
There is no set because it was not shot in the theatre where it was originally played. The cast just visited one TV show so there was no reason for building the whole stage for 5 minutes of singing.
I wish the film Jellylorum was that interesting....
I like this production and that comes from an expierenced performer. I love the choreography in Jellicle Songs and Gumbie, although I've never been a fan of "up, up, up"
Dear Mr Producer of this is a dreadful attempt 'effort' of cats, and you havnt come anything close...to a professional production.
Make-up costumes define the cats, they are un-recogniseable and for you to get wrong a fundamental part of a show so wrong is shameful, i only hope the audience 1.did not pay to see this trash.2. have seen a real production of cats! so they know the difference between a professional production and this trash!
The costumes and wigs look somehow self-made. And the choreography is different. I'm shocked.

Did that guy randomly take off his toupee at the beginning? That's hilarious!
Great video, by the way.
Lycanthrope777 4 years ago
Well, it wasn't so random. He played a sketch with toupee before and he was just "returning to normal" :-)
derhorn 4 years ago
Oh, ok, that explains everything. I thought he was just wearing a toupee and decided it got too hot or something and took it off...
My friends are going to be so disappointed, as they had a whole little story planned out to go with that.

Some of the costumes raise eyebrows. The harmony is good. But do you think they could've budgeted a better set?

Hmmmmmm..
No intentions of sounding offensive, but can you read english?
1. its my choice not to like the clip! as its youre choice and others to like it.
2. my comment was to clarify my dislike to the clip was nothing to do with it not being a British production.
Please read and my comment before giving a stupid response , as you know i will respond accordingly if thats what you want.
The end please
Thank you

Sabertoothcat,
No,im not making a big deal of it, i just dont like it, im allowed not to like it! if you like it thats fine,
I just wanted to clarify that my dislike to this clip is nothing to do with the fact that it is a foreign production as misto06 suggests

Who do you think you are to say such things about a foreign production of Cats?
At least they tried and quite frankly... I liked it (and I have been in 4 of those so called professional prods).
The day u can do a better job than this then we'll talk
