• Oh my god, you composed and played this YOURSELF?? This is fantastic.

  • This was beautiful and perfect for the greatest couple on Merlin :)

(Bittersweat tears were shed during this piece...)

  • One day I will wite something as magical and beautiful as this <3

  • this honestly made me cry. it reminds me how beautiful the love between Merlin and Freya was. yet it reminds me of how it was torn apart by Freya's death. the song is beautiful and sad..... and perfect.

  • This is SO beautiful that i just want to cry! i've always wanted to be able to write something like this and still feel that i can. but the music just won't form! no matter how hard i try! i'll get it though, and i will use your music as an inspiration!

  • @CoralineCat96 Thank you!! I believe that you will be able to write music because I thought the same when I was starting out, which wasn't that long ago really. My advice is to not force it. Good artists to listen to are Two Steps from Hell, X-Ray Dog, Immediate Music, Globus, Hans Zimmer, Alexandre Desplat, Murray Gold..just to name a few. Play around with chord progressions and scales too, you can often 'hear' a melody if you just let your mind wander. Good luck!

  • @characteravatar I love X-Ray Dog! haha and thank you for your advice :)

  • @characteravatar

    Hans Zimmer!!! <3

This truly is very beautiful. I love Merlin and this just fits so well with him and Freya. aww!!

  • i hope you realise how talented you are and that you must never stop writing music. thank you for sharing this, this piece is just breathtaking

  • @currerbell1000 Thank you so much! I'll be writing music for a living someday.

  • this song is beautiful like freya

    and magical like merlin

  • @MythCAngel Aww! That's so cute, thank you!

  • @MythCAngel I really agree with you... as beautiful as Freya and as magical as Merlin.

Keep it up, characteravatar. Share your talent to the world and may you be rewarded someday :)

  • This is one of the most beautiful pieces I think I have ever heard!! :)

  • THIS IS SOOO GUD! I GONNA SUBSCRIBE TO YA!!! :)))) they should have used this in da actual episode of when freya dies!! :'(

  • beautiful :')

  • Piano solo pieces are my favorites. Thank you for a well spent two minutes.

  • @orchestrafan37 Oh, wow thank you! You're most welcome!

  • this is gorgeous.

  • This is so beautiful! I can't stop listening to it! Don't stop writing music. Please. I would just cry. :) <3

  • @forestofmagic haha, aww you're adorable! Thank you so much :)

  • This is such romantic music! I especially love the cresendo just before the end. :)

  • @FiaraFantasy Thank you! I originally had that as the middle, then swapped the last two chords and used it as the melody part and cresendo.

  • You are absolutely amazing! Beautiful song!

  • @niclak Aww thank you :) I'm just lucky I can stumble my way through writing a song lol xx

  • OMG!!! this is so amazing! I love your songs and this just fits Merlin and Freya perfectly!!! Keep it up hun <3

  • @jennyf94 Thank you very much! I will ♥

  • this is so beautiful!!:) sad and beautiful, and like h2ogirleretia said, full of hope.I love it!

  • @sleepyheadzz Thank you! Hey,You're the one who makes those awesome fan vids!

  • Aaaawww....! ^^

It just matches them perfectly! It's so sad but full of hope... I can't tell whether I imagined them meeting each other again or leaving each other... It's just so beautiful! =) Great!

  • @h2ogirleratia Thank you! Yes, I thought that too and in a way I don't think the characters can actually imagine a reunion or not. I was really, really lucky that I stumbled upon these three chords, as it is the exact emotion I wanted. I was trying as many minor chord combinations as possible but nothing worked...until I accidentally reversed the last two chords haha. This is how I write stuff..by applying no theoretical knowledge and just improvising until it's right. I have a lot to learn lol.

  • @characteravatar You're welcome! ^^ You know, a guy from my class, who is a REALLY good piano player and knows A LOT about music theory, and I found out that people who don't know much about theory are much better in composing. They just try - like you do - and don't worry whether it's 'allowed' or not, but it sounds good and that's all that matters. ;-)

  • @h2ogirleratia Really? That's quite good to know! I am just beginning to learn a bit of theory and it's so structured but at the same time if you know some of that structure it can be easier to know what goes with what. Even though I have a pretty good idea it could save me some time and open up new combinations and 'flavours'. Your classmate sounds like a pretty interesting guy.

  • @characteravatar Well, I think it's rather confusing... ;-) But right, it's so much theory that it MUST open you new doors! =)

Yeah, he's a pretty nice guy and like I said: He knows LOTS about music! ^^

  • @h2ogirleratia It can be confusing, but I seem to grasp it pretty easily, you have to think about it as patterns and it is slightly mathematical..but I suck at math, so I don't see how I understand it lol. But yeah I'm preparing to get into university next year to study music technology which is basically what I'm doing here.

  • @characteravatar That's cool! I wish you lots of fun and luck there! =)
