bringing the 3D dragon to the scene just needs more practice. I easily tell from the start it was a model, because of the video quality. Try practicing with green screening, in a room and making a model environment. Plus try taking Ninjutsu
@cdname123 They're a Power Ranger style of magically summoning the dragon. At this stage we planned to use this model dragon as a test stand in for a mecha dragon I was going to build. Sadly my character building and rigging skills aren't at the level they need to be for something that complex so that idea has been scrapped for the time being.
@BardicSp00n Lol! Dad? Hmm. Don't think he'd appreciate that as he's only a couple of years older than me and I'm only 28. The bad Power Rangers impression is because this was one of the earliest pieces of test footage we shot for our Super Sentai (Power Ranger) inspired short film which is currently being filmed. He had to make up the moves on the spot so they'rre not the best he's capable of.
As for the crotch - I can't help where your eyes wander when there's a shot that shows little crotch.
@jamesiles The dragon is up to high on the video. does not have any head space at all. Though your brining him into the frame so it might of been better when the feet hit the ground they stay on it and not slowly go down. The dragon itself is coming down way to slowly. I mean the dragon is good but the speed and physic's need some work.
@Rimfaxe96 The moves were thought up on the spot for some test footage so they didn't need to be dazzlingly fantastic. They served their purpose well.
Handy advice, unfortunately I don't own 3ds max :(. I do own poser 7 now though which allows me to easily create shadows and reflections on background video and images.
The dragon was rendered in Daz Studio and exported as an image series. Then I used Particle Illusion to put the dragon onto the footage before adding the electrical effect.
seriously!!! i would be embarrassed to put up something like this such a waste of space

Why is your dad doing a really bad power raingers impression... Why do we mostly have to watch its crotch?

Nothing against your friend, but maybe he should learn some ninja moves before making a video like this :)

That is a disgrace to dragons. Dragons can move at speeds up to 1,500 milers per hour!
12DragonsRule 1 year ago 15
@12DragonsRule 1. Your a retard as dragons are only winged creatures, fake or not and can't fly at supersonic speeds.
2. This is showing nothing about a dragons speed, just a Dragon standing the get on all fours, so your argument is irrelevant to the video.

That was epic. That's really the only sentence to describe this.

Nice yes what koen said use shadows and highlights than its more realistic. btw if got poser 6 and Gmax Poser very handy program :)

In case you used 3ds max It would've been even better if you would've added shadows...create a plane and apply Matte/Shadow material
