Can you tell the source for the supplies to build this plucker for other local Puget Sounders? I've seen people say cost was anywhere from $300-$600 to build and your unit looks like a quality one.
Nicely presented video and you have a beautiful yard setup for garden and chickens. Thanks for showing multiple birds being done at one time -- I am bookmarking this one :-)
We usually skin our chickens. But, we've got the plans for one of these & will be making it before our next processing date! We're building a processing facility & will be doing it for others as well!

This sort of thing? Blows my mind... that's amazing how quickly that works.
Makes me want to move out to a place where there are chickens, just so I can pluck one in 15 seconds, flat.

Thanks for sharing this. It was very informational for this city girl, and not at all disgusting like I thought it would be. :)

P.S. I use highway cones for mine too -- I will have to copy your cone stand.

The plans are from a book by Herrick Kimball, titled Anyone Can Build a Tub style Mechanical Chicken Plucker. We're building one right now.

What a thing of beauty.
If you've ever done chickens plucking by hand you'll know how nice seeing it go that simple is.
