  • Bladerunner.

  • 2:08 is the best part.... in my room at night is a masterpiece

  • my favorite track happens to not b on the album. T_T

  • I've been a fan of Jakub Dvorskys work since the Samorost series, but this game just blew my mind.

  • Max, check deze song

    en dan slapen

  • This was suck a great game...I got stuck very often even though it was kind of short..Very cool but very hard for my inferior piece of shit brain .The puzzles and characters are great..the Artstyle is fantastic...Definitely a game worth checking out

  • There's just something I love about this song... It makes me think a lot.

  • I havent played this in ages, but does anyone know how to play the whole game without having to pay for it? As I remember, you could only get to a certain part of the game before you had to pay for more (?)

  • this works pretty well with rainymood.

  • such a cool graphic and soundtrack -- love this, thanks :)

  • Wow amazing.

  • Mr. Handagote is pretty good, but for me the soul of the game is Clockwise Operetta. I listen to that at least once a week. This one here is probably my third favorite - there's just too much to love about Machinarium :)

  • beautiful!...

  • This game is fantastic, the only thing is that some of the puzzles feel a little too difficult at their respected part in the game, other than that its an amazing game I think anybody should try. Thanks SupraDarky for reminding me about this fabulous game. It was a blast from the not so far past.

  • Why would no dialogue be a good thing?

  • @AkumaUchitoru It means that the game-makers need to use more creative ways of communicating the story, like using the environment and gestures and such. It requires the player to put the story together in their head more, I guess.

  • @AkumaUchitoru

The problem with dialogue is that too often it is used where body language or story telling elements would work much better. Instead of showing what is going on through cinematography, gestures, and symbolism, a character simply exposits in the most ham-fisted way possible.

Very complex ideas can, and should, be expressed without a single word. Look at Wall-E, for instance. Dialogue in that movie just BARELY exists, but no one ever wondered what was going on while watching it.

  • @321cheeseman

sorry, i wanted to give you a thumb up and i gave you a thumb down accidentally :S

  • I look books at least about not necessarily post-apocalyptic stuff, but post-modern stories like The City of Ember, The Giver, Uglies, etc.

  • Sounds incredible.

  • I hope this game works in my lame computer..

  • @TheR9RO whats your specs? it worked on my old rig just fine, and that had 512 mb of ram.

  • Such breathtaking music...

Again a marvellous choice - thank you, Master.

  • Easily one of the greatest art styles in my eyes. Great sorrow filled music and light hearted art make this point click adventure one of the prime examples of how games can be art.

  • Indie Humble Bundle!!!

I'm downloading the Album right now, Legally. Everyone that bought this game at the Indie Humble Bundle event, is able to download the Soundtrack, aswell as activating the game on Steam!!!

    I fucking love indie games!!

  • Very ambient indeed..

    Fave.

  • fuck, i was listening to this this morning, and now its on the list... TELEPATHY!

  • The best one from Machinarium I think is Mr. Handagote

  • I absolutely adore this song. it captures the games style and feeling very well and its my favourite out of the entire soundtrack.

to anyone who hasn't played this game yet, it's worth checking out, even if only for the art. it's an amazing game that you can even enjoy if you don't normally play point-and-click. the atmosphere is just that great, as demonstrated by this piece.

  • the smooth wind instrument that comes in around 2 minutes is just amazing

  • Ah... Video game music... Especially ambient video game music... It's just brilliant, I think.

  • Wow! I like this one a lot...it's great background music.

  • That was phenominal!

  • One of the most unique games I've played, I would even go so far as to call it one of the best point & click games in my opinion. Right up there with Secret of Monkey Island and Zack & Wiki.

  • I love this game! If fact, the robot band song showed me this game, and i looked into it and got the demo. I loved it so i downloaded it and loved it. My only complaint is that it felt a bit short for a point and click game, only taking me about 5 hours or so. But that was 5 of the best hours ever! This is now my second favorite point and click game, behind "Where in Time is Carmana Sandiago?" I highly recommend this game to anyone who loves artsy game and point and click games.

  • As soon as I saw the trailer for this game it was an instant buy for me. It totally lived up to my expectations, what a beautiful game all around with a fun story and gameplay. I loved the point and click adventure games from back in the day (Kings Quest and such) so this was really something special to me.

  • i used to listen to this soundtrack all the time

  • robot stewie

  • I own this game, maybe I should play it.

  • @TwistedNsanity Same here! Humble Indie bundle FTW.

  • ambient music just takes me to another world..

  • @larry89 The thing about this music, though... it has a slightly alone/creepy tone to it as well. You can imagine walking around in a completely grey and brown world with very few "people" around... It just has a bit of a beautiful, yet unsettling feel to it.

  • I really loved this game. So beautiful. Such a good soundtrack.

  • An awesome and beautiful ambient piece. It played during a great part in the game as well, for those who played it you might know what I'm talking about. I played it last year and it's now part of my top point-and-click games of all time, I simply loved it. I've always been of fan of post-apocalyptic, dirty worlds with ancient technologies and robots, stuff like that.

  • I also like how there's zero dialogue, only thought bubbles and even with just that, all the robots in the city had their own personality and story. A bit like the first Professor Layton where you end up knowing all the unique villagers.
