How wonderful to see proper talent and not the shite we see today with the likes of gaga flashing tattoos on her arse with cheesewire between the buttocks
Amazing video. I'm amazed that she accomplished all that she did at such a young age....most of the time, younger artists do no have the depth and presence that Kate showed during this time....Thank you very much for posting! :)
Another wonderful find and I remember watching this when it was first aired. I remember feeling really excited that Kate was working on a new album and me wanting it now!!!!I was so impatient....Tch! lol Thank you :-)
Thanks very much for posting this - it is fascinating. I've always liked Kate Bush but now looking back over the years its apparent she's one of the greatest artists of the pop/rock era. Watching this documentary illustrates how ahead of the game she was musically, artistically & technically.
Can't thank you enough for posting this. I've never seen it before and it's such a pleasure to see the old Kate Bush - the one I grew up with. If only we could turn back the clock.
WOW, I have vague memories of seeing this on TV when I was about 11. I have to admit that when I first saw and heard kate Bush I thought she was a witch.
But over the years I grew up loving her music and she is to me one of the most tallented and amazing female vocalists ever, certanly the best to come form the UK. There is no one on par with her apart from Stevie Nicks. I have the old VHS of this concert Live at hamersmith Odeon, and I have been trying for years to get it on DVD, but failed
Bet the pro musos in her band really loved the hippy brother being on board for the tour :-). Mind you I saw the Edinburgh gig on this tour and it was, admittedly, amazing, so no harm done. Alan Murphy on guitar was incredible.
Thanks a lot for this footage, it was a great pleasure to watch for me! I wish I had a time machine and could go on a concert of this Tour ! In my childhood in the 80ies I knew Kate Bush (Hits like "Running up that Hill" and so) and liked her, cause she was different in my ear in a very good and strong way. But these days I am become a big fan and discover the beginning of her Career from early demos to New Wave phase like LP "The Dreaming" - and it blew me away!
she was incredibly more mature, wise and yet humble at 20 and 21 than most people will ever be in their lifetimes. it's really interesting to watch this documentary now, knowing what we do about her subsequent success
Fantastic! Really excellent & well done for preserving this footage which was probably wiped in it's original form. I remember seeing a snippet about the tour on the evening news but I wasn't really into her at the time so never saw any of the shows. I got The Kick Inside quite early on though, when I was 19 I think so have been listening on & off since the late 70's.
Hearing the figures such as forty people employed on the tour which cost a mere £200,000 is laughable now but it was another era.
@Symphonyofflowers Wow! great upload,The time went by so fast,it seemed like 5mins long instead of nearly 26mins.It was funny to see Kate smoking though.
Thanks Symponyofflowers, this goes straight to favs :)
@chaijm Actually, she has been a vegetarian since the mid-70s. She is an ethical vegetarian. Her parents were not vegetarians. I'm not sure about her brothers. Maybe they became vegetarians too, but anyway Kate was first.
Thanks for the posting of this. Although I have only been a fan of Kate's for around 4 or 5 months now (a lot of people in the states don't know who she is) well, once a fan, always a fan!
A new music book is being published which contains literally thousands of YouTube comments. It is entitled 'You Are A Tube!' by Steven Fried PLC.

I am useless when it comes to hair colour...is there different shades of red hair...ie Ginger and a more darker type.

she is vegan/vegatarian since 1979, maybe longer.
maybe that`s why she still looks young without plastic chirurgie.
is the whole family veg?
what is their motivation?
