this is the unofficial 1.007 patch noobs, NOT the official 1.006 patch that is used atm. that is why these players are building units such as mass infantry and apocs, because in 1.007 they are actually good (also the reason why these players have teched).

That's objective, most professional starcraft games boil down to simple marine/zergling rushes these days. Starcraft can be very complex, but the Command and Conquer series requires a level of micromanaging skills even that game has yet to match.

anyone who says "those guys are slow" "i would easily beat them" "what they are doing is nothing hard" are all categorically wrong. the two players shown were amongst the best playing 2 years ago (when the game was still played pretty seriously). i would put money (and a lot of it at that) that the majority of you would not be playing past the four minute mark and definitely would not come close to beating either of the players. it may look 'easy' but IN REALITY, it is much, much more difficult

not that hard to find it, although you might have some trouble finding it on its own. the first decade (a box set of all the C & C games) should be around $30. there's other bundles that include it also, but it eludes my mind. you could also have gotten it free by preordering red alert 3.

The fighting style, however, were lame. Both were 'hit-and-run' player types and not very good at it either.

yes apocs are good but are too slow in a 2v2 game. i do love to have about 1 or 2 for the extra security though :P but they cost alot and cant travel with rhinos because they get in the way if their in the middle and they dont auto-attack any nearby units within range.

Men These guys are awesome. All the people who says they suck or somthing are just keyboard warriors. No air units? well duh! kirov are only usefull if above dozens so that 1 can make it to the base, but then again, no Gap Gen, "KIROV REPORTING" echoing through the map and the "VRRRRR" that can be heard through FOW kills any chance to suprise enemy.

also, the absence of Tesla coils is pretty understandable:you can't protect miners,

2 tesla coils cost 3 rhino heavies. 3 Tanks beat 1 tesla coil, 3 tanks can walk by 2 tesla coil if forcing through. which means, 3 tanks beat 2 TCs unless you stick them together, which means leaving more openings. also you can't attack with tesla coils. so, until the apearence of bunkers and guardian GI's, soviet defence was pressing the opponent with superior tanks and terror drones.

Well, tank defense is quite a goodidea. But it has a weak point. You can crush the whole defense whit a swarm of Sovjet terror drones. So fortyfiing the ore areas is a better idea in my oppenion. But nice vid. I liked it:)

Sad, all ppl who say no defences. When you only build defence, you will lose too much money. Never make anti-air before someone mad air attack. 1 flack track is enough for 4 rockies.

Tanks are the key, if you make too much defence , other guy has more money and will take over the map, and kill your miners. Seriously I hate those noobs who say these guys suck. They prolly did games with like a 100000000 cash. These guys fight for their cash, not like mod-maps.

These are great players. Defense fortifications are static and can only defend a set area, unlike units, which can defend any part of the base, attack the opponent, can be easily repaired, and can achieve higher rank. They are both playing Soviet forces, so air defenses would be a pointless waste of valuable resources, seeing as they are not needed. These players are so good that can adapt to any situation, including one involving allied forces.
