  • Hello Valen! I love your voice. I love listening to your lessons. You enunciate the words so beautifully. Well done! Cheers, :0)

  • i real dont undestand so much

  • Thank you for this lesson. For some reason some teachers are accepting just an apostrophe at the end of a noun that ends in "s." instead of the proper apostrophe-s as you have shown. YAY!

    ~Fellow English Teacher

Now, if we can only teach '80s and '90s instead of 80's and 90's. :-)

  • thank you

  • thank you!

  • I love how you teach, congrutalations, there is things I can't understand because in my country we speak spanish, and I'm beginning in this, but congrutalations, you and Engvid, make a very good job.

  • Don't say "there's two different ways". That should be "there are two different ways", as "there's" is the same as "there is", and "is" is only for singular items.

  • Really impressive Valen! But why were you saying /aposhtrophe/. The 's' makes the sound of 's' or 'sh'? Or is it just your habit to pronounce 'sh' for 's'? Anyway, thanks. I had this problem of pronouncing James's (Jamesis). I wasn't sure we Pakistanis were right in pronouncing like you did. But now I know we were.

  • Hi, My name is Karma from India.

I like to more on English writing skill.

  • I'm confusing from this videos to me

  • i love u

  • thanks...

  • i dont get the horse example.. Horse's and Horses' is almost the same.. haw can u differ them if they sound so alike.

  • @DanielCMM

Thats a tricky one, you're right. I've always wondered how to pronounce apostrophes appropriately.

But I suppose you'd just have to double the s somehow. Like, Horse's should just be pronounced as Horses and Horses's should be pronounced Horses-s.

Actually, what I just said doesn't make sense... But that's just my guess. :)
