I own a Fantom X6. This is my dream keyboard owning a JV-80, JV-880, JV-30, U-110, D-110, and RV-70. This tops them all. I hate software and DAW's. I'm a hardware guy and love sequencing right in the X6, then transfer through USB to the CPU as a wave, convert to MP3, record and songs done. With the expansion boards for the X6 installed, I have the best possible sounds out there. SW will never compare to Rolands sound library, hell I even plug my guitar in to record direct to the X6.

What does your X6 run off of? there's software inside. If you think I can't produce sounds just as good with Reason, I'm not sure what to tell you. Unless Roland somehow makes hardware that can magically eclipse 24bit samples. Even if that was possible (which it's not) nobodies ears could tell the difference. Fruity Loops with good samples will sound the same as your X6. All the EQ'ing and shit can be done on a PC, actually MORE can be done on a PC. SW is the future, DAWs are where it's at.

Back off dude. I was just saying you said on the Vid, all sounds coming from the Fantom just like I own. I have played 25 years and I know it is SW versus analog in this board. I thought you were playing only the keys and not DAW/PC and the complete thing was Audio from the X into Cpu. I was saying I like a hardware synth versus the Cpu and you want to bust my chops when you said it all came from the synth. I paid $2,000+ for this and you say the Cpu is better? True. But that's why a lot of the software companies create demos of their programs. So that a person can get a feel for the program as well as seeing if it will work on their system. If I was to use a program and with that program made any money, I would definitely pony up the bucks for the full version. As for keygens, that is true, they almost always have a virus but with thorough searching, a person can usually find a working one.

i would recommend not even to get the fantom (first). Instead invest in Native Instruments Komplete 5 and Reason 4 and refills. That will do you more good i think...thats what im using mostly now.

he record it in wave... with a line cable as if it was a electric gtr... the output of the fantom goes in the input of the sound card... and midi cables u can use the fantom as a midi controller...

Nice vibe to this beat! Maybe I am biased but it needs some kind of "howling" guitar work during whichever sequence will be used for the hook or chorus. Picturing one of those old school hard Prince solos and some kind of long distorted note maybe.
