we have a number of Canadian geese in the local park, they've just arrived back after the cold winter, and I'm glad to see there is still an even (multiple of 2) number of them.
I love this video. I absolutely LOVE geese, they are my favorite animal. They are extremely beautiful and I love their sense of love and cooperation for each other.
chuk u got ripped lol and yeah biology does offer an explanintion for animal behavior but it is a very vague one because guess what science doensn't know it all... science cannot comprehend feelings and such so UR wrong :D idiots make me laugh. and no ur not a biologist ur just a fool who doesn't wana be proven wrong
AHAHA! Mordeth you are REALLY missing out on the Geese's return dude! They like muliply every year by 10! Its nuts! There are SO MANY of them now! Hahaha!
I don't know about geese being frightening but they are annoying as hell. All that honking all damn day. And they never go away...they don't leave for the winter.
i'm pretty sure geese are migratory birds; they head south for the winter. or north if in the southern hemisphere. do you get geese in the southern hemisphere? lol
I saw in a video somewhere (can't find it now) that a goose will dive under the water, swim up and kill the mate of a female goose by stabbing it. With her male partner dead, the other bird gets the girl.
I was wrong; it's not a goose. It's the Loon, but still correct that it does happen and it's not a "fucking CARTOON", and that it is in-fact "real life".
Search google for "loon dive stab". It'll be in the first few results in at least 2 sources: Canada dott com and northland dott edu. No mention of the cartoon network.
Did you know that geese draft like race cars? When the one in the front gets tired he will go to the back to draft. And if one should happen to fall ill or injured two others will go down with it to protect it until it gets well or dies, and then leave to catch up with the rest of the flock. Google: Lessons of the geese.
Most birds mate for life, and most die if their mate dies, they die of broken hearts. Sweet but sad isn't it? Hey while we are on the animal subject I really admire you for how you stand your ground against animal cruelty. And I would like to thank you for that. Animals can't help the situation they are in but we can! If we only had more people like you to protect our animals.

Sorry, but if geese mate for life,,well, that does not mean that they do not cheat on their mate. The male will breed another female in a hear beat.
