I could suggest stretching and old T shirt over the plastic dish as release medium; since if one single fires they dont want oil on the clay anywhere.

Also I use a coarse clay so sponging raises the grog; so I spatulate the clay down into the mold, or press down in with texturing device.

Great use of cheap mold.
