  • Why do I find this much better than the films nowadays? It' really a masterpiece, given that it's a 30s film!

  • The film is public domain, the music is not.

  • This is one of several Chinese masterpieces of the 30's, along with films like Street Angel, Little Toys, Daybreak. Spring Silkworms is one i'd love to see too.
