  • Unfortunately, I think only carrots are available in my country. But can it be made without sake?

  • @AlMoxtar sake is basically rice wine, it should be easy to find

  • @kbd668 I'm teetotal that's why I asked, but even hadn't I been one, it should be very difficult to find any for sale in Morocco, let alone the backwater where I live. I've found some Shiitake and Nori at a supermarket for the first time earlier today, I'm emptying the rack tomorrow and frozing everything.

  • why the foam should be removed?

  • @iynn512 to have a clear broth, the foam makes it cloudy and sometimes that's not very appealing, same with skimming fat to lower calories

  • @Pyroblazer actually 23 people for sure do not like it - and i can bet its voice of the "DOG" haha. Anyways, it was suggestion, I do not care if they change voice or not but I can bet it would help to get more attention and likes.

  • @Dimanta Right because their not doing well already? They'v already won several youtube awards for their video, plus it's the woman's husband doing the voice so =/

  • @JustJess090 Oh, I thought I was the only one that didn't know what half of the ingredients are and I love to cook.

  • This is a very typical Japanese home-made meal. Not sushi and tempura.

  • What makes Tofu Healthy??

  • @tnguyen318 High in protein.

  • Tell me what type of protein. I do not know much.

  • @tnguyen318 It is a complete source of protein and low in fat. Also contains iron and calcium. However, it is not considered as high quality a source as meat though.

  • What doesn't contain iron and calcium? Tell me precisely how soya bean (tofu) is healthy.

  • Doesn't everything contain iron and calcium?

  • @tnguyen318 Many foods we eat contain iron and calcium but the quantities contained in many are not sufficiently abundant for our daily needs in a normal serving of said food. You might only eat a square of tofu in total but it contains the equivalent nutrients of soya beans in a quantity that a normal person would not consume. (eg. a kg of soya beans will not make a kg of tofu.)

If we could get enough iron and calcium no matter what we choose to eat, we would not fortify foods.

  • So does dirt and soil. Does it mean it's healthy for us? This is the same confusing talk that confuses the heck outta everybody. You said a square piece of tofu contains more nutrients (supposedly iron and calcium) than a group of 9 soya beans. I don't know how many soya beans it would take to make a square piece of Tofu. I don't know whats involved with making Tofu. Oil Comes out of a bundle of Dried Canola (Flower) Seeds by "spraying" it with water and then smashing it.

  • @tnguyen318 If you feel tofu is unhealthy why not just state good reasoning instead of using a bad comparison? Reading your comments it seems like you are just looking for an argument and yet not have the knowledge to so. Why are you so angry?

  • I didn't say Tofu is unhealthy. If Soya bean is healthy how come we don't cook it like regular beans? Can we? How many types of Soya Beans are there? I am skeptical because a piece of Tofu doesn't look or taste healthy. What do they add to the Tofu Milk to make it a paste?

    Foods I eat.

Vegetation, Salad, Fruits, Nuts, Crops, 15 types of Meat, Fishes, Crustaceans, Insects, Worms, Amphibians, etc.

  • @tnguyen318 How does something look or taste healthy - is that not rather subjective? Soya beans were developed into different products for a variety of reasons - one of them is because the nutrients in fresh soy beans are not easily digestible. There are a variety of coagulants used to make tofu a solid - some are healthier than others. A healthy diet is about variety and balance, beans should be part of a healthy balanced diet.

  • By having taste. But thats a good question. No. Subjective is not a good word. Stop confusing the English Language. If its an opinion, say its an opinion. Nutrients in Soy Beans are not digestible for a reason. A balanced diet is good. However I think we humans can evolve well without meat.

  • @tnguyen318 Eating fresh soy beans a person would still obtain nutrients from them and they would not really be considered an unhealthy addition to a balanced diet. Many foodstuffs we consume are prepared in different ways for different reasons, one of which is to make them nutritionally more digestable. For example, some commonly consumed beans are actually poisonous if we do not cook them properly.

What is the reason soy beans are not digestible?

  • You have been telling me that eating Tofu is Healthy yet you haven't proven to me that it is. How can it be?

Milk can bother your digestive system. Why cannot Soy Milk. It is not digestible because it came from an extreme solid (bean). In the blood it stays there and causes clots.

  • @tnguyen318 If you review my posts i have stated tofu is a good vegetarian source of protein and other nutrients. Did you not see them? If you disagree, you did not directly state so. Instead you make random wandering statements. It took you 7 replies before you even hinted at why you feel tofu is unhealthy - why not just post an informative reply to inform us all instead of playing nutritional detective?

What type of milk causes clots? Do you have any sources for this?

  • I didn't say Tofu was Healthy or Unhealthy. I said prove to me that they are Healthy. Everything is said to be healthy. Even "On ions" and "Chill"i.. Too much Carbon Solid in the body is bad for your health. When we eat solid matter we should be careful even when their grounded or not.

  • @tnguyen318 You're so ignorant. Stop spreading your bullshit information.

  • @tnguyen318 Your comment just sounds like insane babbling. You certainly don't come off as intelligent and you seem to have no idea what you're talking about.

  • If I were to bring up a child eating just Tofu and a Child eating just Fish, which child do you think would be healthier? Since its said that Tofu contains more protein than regular Fish Meat.

  • @tnguyen318 Nice...lol. you're not biased! lol

  • Show me Scientific Proof that Tofu is Healthier for the Body than Fish.

  • @tnguyen318 You'd get two very pissed off teenagers when the time came because you limited their food choices, plus factor in the fact that kids will eat things behind your back.....

  • LOL. Have you ever seen how Tofu is made?

  • @tnguyen318 Yes.. bleck I don't like Tofu, Plus it makes me sick because I have a soy allergy

  • the only reaeson i know what this stuff is is because i play cooking mama -_-

  • when i heared carrots i wanted to hug them, they 're the only veggie i know in these ingredients,

  • @MSrimo84 What about the peas? lol

  • Omg....I really want to eat that!!! LOL

  • The dog is really well-behaved. But this dish seems to involve too much trouble. I am sure it tastes good though.

  • @yinstube You can save alot of time by cooking the stuff together. The mushrooms do need to be soaked beforehand though.

  • 4:30 "Again, when you see foam.... REMOVE IT."

  • @Kelavmeister You know how meticulous japanese are.. lol

  • Comment removed

  • @hsbocaj That was needed.

  • amazing

  • I looked up how to do your eye liner and this is what poped up o.o

  • may i know, whats the purpose of removing the foam? TQ

  • @ellynnnorasyieda Japanese food tends to be very delicately flavoured so the foam might affect the taste and probably for aestheitc reasons.

  • I WANT THAT BIG KNIFE XD

  • 犬犬うぜーわ。確かに、衛生上や犬の躾に関して良くないけど、楽しく見てもらうためにやってんだよ。

    犬嫌なら見んなカス共が!

  • REMOVE EET! >:o

  • Likely Jamaican style, good!!

  • Too many ingredients... D:

  • @TheMissyPinc

oops i sent you a message explaining what I thought Konyaku was before i actually saw it in the video!!! I was wrong lool, but i could have sworn in other videos she used a bit of alcohol called Konyaku....sorry for the mix up!!

  • @TheMissyPinc

Its like an alcoholic beverage Cogniac? If I'm not mistaken. I can't remember how to spell it in english now but it sounds similar to Konyaku minus the u at the end!

  • where am i gonna get these ingredients!!!!!

  • @vaalogaan

    chinese market

  • @vaalogaan MOST MAJOR CITIES HAVE ASIAN/ORIENT GROCER STORES.

  • @vaalogaan Japan i guess

  • @vaalogaan try some sort of oriental market :)

  • @vaalogaan the asian food market :D

  • @vaalogaan i think you can get it in a japanese grocery store, which is in japantown...

  • @vaalogaan maybe cuz ur not asian. just sayin'

  • haha..the dog...kinda unhygenic, no??

  • god cant understand a word.better off show in writing instead.

  • @CLEOCHETRA View recipe using drop down above.

  • what the hell is the dog doing in the kitchen table!! yuck!!

  • @st105900

He's not actually ON the table- if he WAS there would be no food to cook with lol. He's on a stool behind the table but the camera angle makes it look like he's sitting on the table.

  • i watched all 58 videos thumbs up if u did haha

  • @FuzionYoshi I have watched all now 65, but ill thumbs up anyway because i have watched all original 58 :D

  • Great video! But she should really use a parring knife to peel things, it's less dangerous. Just saying, I don't want her to lose a finger.

  • thats nasty.

  • @KiriouSs

Hahaha! Are you reffering to the dog scratching? :)

  • I am fascinated! so many foods I haven't seen before. I would love to cook like this every day!

  • I wonder who is she, she must be the professional chef, I am impressed!

  • think l go to a korean specialities store tomrrow. maybe they have what i need.

  • This recipe is interesting...I am not really used to having seaweed in my food, and the aroma is very strong. But it is quite filling! Not something I would have every day, but still good.

  • I love the way she cook japanese foods and I really laugh at the end....I love the reaction of her face when she saw the dog scratching...lol...

  • this makes me like vegetables a lil bit :D

  • What did she say at the end of the video?

  • are Japanese folks easy to amuse. that dog is useless. I love dogs but its not sanitary to have it near while cooking. this dished is overly complicated. here in the United States we don't have time and patience for this dish. We'll buy it an eat it but not cook it.

  • @haokannan If you look you can see that the dog is quite clean. In Japan, most domesticated dogs are. I personally think this dish looks quite easy to make. Particularly if you substitute certain ingredients for others. In the U.S., they also consume a lot of fried foods filled with saturated fats, devoid of nutrition. Is this really better? It's no wonder it's has the highest rate of obesity. All healthy food takes a little time to prepare but is ultimately worth it.

  • @ESPSAlita lol good point. Here in the states especially CA, I'm surronded by fat folks that don't know about portion size or good nutrition. i'll still eat what this lady cooks. My ideal dish would include a protein source and three types of vegetables for color and texture. No boiling and then frying. i prefer my vegetables in my stir fry half raw and half cooked. i like the crunch.

  • @ESPSAlita As far as meals in the US go it really depends. It is hard to find a family like mine where we order out like... 5-8 times a year. There are alot of familys who will just run to McDonalds or Domino's due to lack of time to make a meal and sit down with family. Which I personaly think that if you dont have the time to make a meal you REALLY need to cut something out of your schedual. A nice, hot bowl of nutritious soup or a healthier, home made pizza really doesn't take long to make.

  • @kasai0494 I agree. How could we give up our right to have a home cooked meal so easily? What's worth more than our health and happiness? When I lived in Germany, the children had two hours at lunch time to go home and eat with their family. This is also a practice in China, I believe. When I think about the difference in quality of life between the US and these other countries, it makes me want to cry!

  • @belovedpeartree They got to do that in Germany and China?! The food they serve at the highschool I go to ( I'm american) is worse than the food they serve in the prison here. Apparently it isnt even legal to serve the food they do because it's quality is so poor. :C It makes me so sick... Sadly its cheaper to eat school food than to make a lunch.

  • @haokannan So what? It's still entertaining to watch =3

  • I'm from Saudi Arabia , we have non of these ingredients accept carrots and water :P

but in general I love the look of the chinese food and it's taste
