clean hit. he got airborn as a result of the impact, not before it, when you are leaning forward and hit something (or someone) like that, your feet are going to come up. pretty straightforward. stop the video at end 1:44 beginning 1:45- youll see the contact being initiated and both feet on the ground.
That was a completely legal hit.. This is a contact sport you can't be flying around with your head down and expect to not get hit.... And if you saw a B's player leaving his feet turn your resolution up and watch the video a few more times....

@CaliiBoy17 : It is indeed a hit to the head, but Boychuk can't be blamed. Once he had him lined up and headed towards him, there was one direction he was heading and that's straight through Stajan. The latter brings his head up and eats Boychuk's elbow and there's nothing Boychuk could do at that juncture. This is why head-shots are so hard to call illegal. The best advice for any player is to keep their head up at all times.

I'm not a Leafs fan, but the Boston announcer saying Komisarek was poking at Chara, being brave infront of the refs. Komisarek only poked at him because Chara was trying to manhandle him.

A. Feet are in contact with the ice at the point of the hit.
B. He didn't leave his feet till after the hit was thrown

clean hit. he got airborn as a result of the impact, not before it, when you are leaning forward and hit something (or someone) like that, your feet are going to come up. pretty straightforward. stop the video at end 1:44 beginning 1:45- youll see the contact being initiated and both feet on the ground.

That was a completely legal hit.. This is a contact sport you can't be flying around with your head down and expect to not get hit.... And if you saw a B's player leaving his feet turn your resolution up and watch the video a few more times....

@CaliiBoy17 : It is indeed a hit to the head, but Boychuk can't be blamed. Once he had him lined up and headed towards him, there was one direction he was heading and that's straight through Stajan. The latter brings his head up and eats Boychuk's elbow and there's nothing Boychuk could do at that juncture. This is why head-shots are so hard to call illegal. The best advice for any player is to keep their head up at all times.

@torcmr No moron, it was a "legal" hit at the time, not a clean hit by any stretch of the imagination. And I forgot how clean of a player Matt Cooke has been throughout his career. I do find it amusing that almost all of your comments are directed at Bruins' videos, however. Did you get molested by a Bruin fan at some point in your life? Judging by your comments you probably would've enjoyed it anyway. When you actually start playing hockey at any level, then come back on and comment.
