@Almo2504 While I am sure the original is amazing, don't you think it's a little cruel to be trouncing on a dead mans memory? Especially one who touched so many souls? How would you like it if someone did that to you?
I love his music and performances so much, it was a shame he was taken so young. I remember the day they announced his passing, was such a sad time and loss of such a great man. His music has forever changed my walk with GOD. There are those artists that even at your lowest and darkest times, seem to stick with you and you are willing to listen to even when you hate everything good in your life around you, and he was one of them.. R.I.P. Rich, we miss you....
I saw him once and I wish I'd seen him more. God love him, he was a little hot head and I think a bit of a pacifist? Seems like it from what I recall him saying. ?
Yahweh allowed me to put this song to memory about eight years ago.....right before on of the most intense spiritual battles I have ever fought began.....the battle is still raging but I KNOW HE is with me......Thank you Rich for helping me continue to stand and trust.....
The Lord spoke to us through Rich Mullins as humanly as possible. Those songs of his are timeless like The Word, it is right for what we are going through in our time now. It did me good to give a listen to his songs again.
I'm so glad that he talked so much during his shows :) How awesome to have that. I love how he says later "I just find this to be a charming story" ;-)
And the song? Well...it knocks me out. It's been with me for a VERY long illness and other hard stuff - it's like a good friend.
OH my goodness! I have never seen this! Thank you SO much for posting it! Rich Mullins was the first concert I ever went to...I was 10 and he was performing at a church, barefoot of course. When was this video taken?
Never heard of him before; I was looking for different renditions of this beautiful song.
Seems to have been a very sweet, charming man, and a marvelous musician.
So sad to find he was taken so young.
Thank you for posting this here, getting him another listener, and likely fan.
