  • Sounds like cool green technologies

  • What if you used a magnifying glass.

  • clearly you MUST be hanged or shot at site!SO:a photovoltaic panel WILL NOT PRODUCE ENERGY ON OVERCAST SKY?!

    NUCLEAR ENERGY SAFE AND RELIABLE?!

    RUSSIANS AND JAPANESE ARE IDIOTS?!

    LARGE ENERGY LOSSES?!

YES,A "STRATEGICALLY LOCATED"PLANT WAS FUKUSHIMA;NEAR THE MOST ACTIVE SEISMIC ZONE ON EARTH!

NUCLEAR ENERGY IS IDIOTIC AND A CANCER SOURCE FOR HUMANS!

RUSSIANS AND JAPANESE ARE AMONG THE BEST SCIENTISTS IN THE WORLD!

HIGH VOLTAGE DIRECT CURENT LINES SAYS"ANYTHING"TO YOU?!

    YOU=TRULY AMERICAN IDIOT!

  • How many deserts are in the whole world? IN 6 HOURS THOSE DESERTS RECEIVE ENERGY IN THE FORM OF HEAT THAT COULD GENERATE ALL THE ELECTRICITY THAT THE WORLD WOULD CONSUME IN ONE FUCKING YEAR!!!

    HELLOOO HUMANS...

    ARE YOU THAT STUPID?!

  • You all are forgetting about natural gas. As long as we have a molten outer core and active mantle, natural gas will always be a source of energy, but unfortunately gas companies will always be in control of it.

  • That Mohave Desert project... the guy says cost for output will be $.10-.12, which is nearly twice! what hydroelectric costs per KWH, and then... this guy snidely says, when the loans are paid off, a few cents per KWH is the actual production price?! BUT! believe me, they will NOT lower their price below $.10-.12!! So who is lending them money, without some cap on consumer price over the long term?!! Probably D.O.E.!! Our tax dollars at work, assuring we get scalped!

  • have a lot of palestinians running on a big treadmill would work as well, and be a comical sight

  • The Bilderburg banker ans World Domination Cartel has adverse designs for ALL such attempts to alleviate energy and food shortage, namely by eliminating Mankind from the face of earth! Go read their "Georgia Guide Stones" mandate!

  • What about NIGHT?

    What about overcast days?

  • @robertgift : Remember this is a brake through back in 2008, technology has advance, excesive power can be stored in batteries and combined coal and oil can cut in haft contamination and be more aforable in the future. Amecian enery corporation dont want to here this there pushing for more land to exploied coal and oil. Republicans dont care about envierment all they care is about there fund racing buddys BIG MONEY.

  • @robertgift At night the turbines in a concentrated solar power station (CSP) would run on the heat stored in either OIL heated by the PARABOLIC LINEAR MIRRORS(LIKE IN THE MOJAVE DESERT CALIFORNIA) OR MOLTEN SALT!

SOLAR ENERGY IS FREE ENERGY AND THE SOLUTION TO ENERGY DEMANDS!

FUCK NUCLEAR SHIT , COAL , OIL AND ALL THE REST!!!

  • @gabigowrong Not enough reliabilty. Nuclear is moreliable.

Better would be to harvest heat from thearth's mantle.

  • @robertgift you're FULL OF BULLSHIT!

Have you EVER heard of DESERTEC project?

name me only 2 deserts on different continents that could be used for generating A LOT of electric energy!

It seems that you "forgot" that at any given time earth has a GOOD PART exposed to sun!

A square the size of AUSTRIA in the NORTHERN AFRICA , covered with solar panels or concentrated solar panels could power the whole world! The consumption of energy can be "Transfered" from one power plant to another at night!

  • @robertgift NUCLEAR ENERGY SCRAMBLES OUR DNA AND CAUSES CANCER!

INFORM YOURSELF BEFORE YOU MAKE AN IDIOT OF YOURSELF!

HAVE YOU BEEN LIVING ON ANOTHER PLANET FOR THE PAST DECADE AND NEVER HEARD OF NUCLEAR "ACCIDENTS" OR THE LATESTE NUCLEAR DISASTER AT FUKUSHIMA?

I WOULD HANG ALL THOSE THAT PROPOSE NUCLEAR ENERGY AND INSIST ON SAYING THAT IS "RELIABLE AND SAFE"! YOU IDIOTS!

  • @gabigowriel You fail to know that even deserts have overcast skies.

Nuclear energy is VERY safe and reliable - if not operated by idiot Russians and Japanese.

Transporting electricity long distances from deserts to where needed suffers large losses.

Strategically located nuclear plants near loads makesense.

  • @robertgift I WILL NOT WASTE ANY MORE TIME WITH AN RETARDED AMERICAN LIKE YOU!

PREPARE YOUR ASS FOR THE CHINESE THAT WILL OWN YOU AMERICANS AND YOUR COUNTRY IN THE NEXT MAXIMUM 5 YEARS!

YOU DESERVE THIS , YOU FUCKING IGNORANT IDIOTIC SCUMBAGS!

  • @gabigowriel Haha. My wife is Chinese and most of my relatives are Chinese.

Fantasize all you wish, buthese alternativenergy sources are not enough and not reliablenough now.

Hopefully they can be. Fusion energy would be nice.

Our house is heated with sun heat as much as possible. But not enough. We ride bicycles as much as possible to savenergy and pollution and for exercise. I even conservelectrons here!

  • @robertgift You are a MEGA MORON.

    Stupid too!

  • @rafnezdenIQ68 "You are a MEGA MORON.

    Stupid too!"

Yes, but you can fantasize all you wish buthese alternativenergy sources ain't efficient enough and ain't reliablenough.

Nuclear energy is the way to go. Justay away from your electrical outlets to minimizexposure to nuclearadiation.

  • Thank you Israel.

Thank you for your never ending contribution to the world.

  • @sandundhammika he's not jewish, he's English. He just happens to work at Ben-Gurion National Solar Energy Center. Sorry to burst your bubble. But, the truth is much better than false propaganda.

Besides, you should have known that from just his accent alone.

  • I love the way they have a direct comparsion between the cells 'so these ones here produce one watt and this one fifteen hundred' and forget about the big fuck off reflector 'concentrating the light of a thousand suns' on to the latter one. Just done a rough calculation and if the sierra suntower covered the same area it would produce almost 1500 MW of power rather than 1000 MW. The latitude also being roughly equivalent. Looks like steam to electricity is the way to go.

  • going stright from heat to steam is currently the most effcient way to get energy. so instead of producing steam and focusing the heat and light onto a panel, you will lose energy because currently the highest conversion rate is 20%. and the 20% conversion rate is from heat sensitive types of panel, so more like 12%.

so either 12% with panel, or 30% with heat-to-steam...

  • wow great work Zenith ! lucky you dont live in USA or GE and big oil would have killed you befor you finshed building it. lolz

  • this guy is the don!

  • It would be cool if a solar panel absorbed 100% of light then u wouldn't be able to see it look like and endless void

    Idk just sleep depravation

  • It's almost 2 years since this video was posted. I've heard of no developments. The light concentration by lens and/or mirrors is very old (100's of years) tech. The 1,500 watt PV Cell is not. At present the best PV Cells can only output a few watts. If they can produce even a 150 watt PV Cell, many will walk thru the desert to get just one. Including me.

  • where is it???

  • holly fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • seriously folks , soon be driv'n Bush's freedom car but wait a minute now, is the DENSITY requirements for a controlled nuclear fusion reaction a LIMITING factor in the quantity of DEUTERIUM fuel used? for no reason can be said de uncontrolled DEMOLITION pf WTC 1 and 2. which leaves controlled DEMOLITION as the only remaining option ven haf liminted de imposible, vat remains, however improbable, must be de troot
  • they fell too fast

    kerosene? that's a good one!

arf arf arf arf arf arf arf arf arf arf arf arf

  • gatekeeper

    Mum mum mum mah

Lucy, you got some 'splainin' to do!

  • This is a fantastic example of the kind of thinking and actions that will sustain life on this planet for millennia to come.

Its not to late, we can change, we can adapt. Thank you

  • @phillyP84 u do realize that the supervolcano at yosemite (or was it yellowstone?) national park can erupt at any second, no point in trying to save this planet when it is already doomed

  • @dzgfdg i have an idea for a globel filters just for such events. it could keep us from going into anther ice age when this happens. to bad im to poor to even eat dinner tonight . or i might have built it by now . and i would share it with the world for free unlike most inventors

  • @MrAncientalien sur u would...explain to me this "invention" of yours

  • @dzgfdg LOL its Yellowstone and how can humans save the planet when the planet survived the last 3 Yellowstone eruptions with out us? The eruption cant kill the plant and man cant save him self much less the planet.

  • So where the fuck are they?

  • @Vince6323 isn't it great how the least intellectual people in the world are always ruling us?

  • @notverysuperdean "The probems of the world is that the stupids are cocksure while the intelligents are full of doubts".

  • @Leopoldo888 i completely agree with you "the less you know the more you think you know" -ray stevens

  • @Leopoldo888 The scary thing is if Israel would get off their asses and build ANY solar then they would cut their imports of coal and limit their reliance on others, and keep that money at home. What the hell are they waiting for?

  • @astrialkil

Not economical yet. They import coal from Ukraine, and gas from Egypt.

  • So who makes it? And how much?

  • I'm from the middle east. Its things like this that make me LOVE Israel. This is awesome technology and a great video.

  • HaShem Bless Israel

  • Bravo! This is incredible. Hopefully this will have tremendous repercussions: economic, political, environmental, you name it. And hopefully all for the better.

  • Incredible!
