Most cosplayers make their own costumes. =33 Some do buy them off at ebay, or commission other people to make it for them. It really depends on the individual because not all know how to sew. Then again, it's rewarding when you finish your own cosplay costume and wear it in the end. xD

Not too much I suppose, don't grow it out too much, my suggestion is to use something called 'Manga Hair' it's a gel you can buy from Garnier, look it up on eBay or something that can help your hair to stick up better and makes it rock hard. I hope this helps your cosplay!

Even though most would go against a big person cosplaying as a skinny anime character, but to many cosplayers, we all don't care what you dress up as. As long you can pull off their personality and outfit right (mainly it is the outfit >.>;;), that's what we all consider as a great cosplay! =D Seriously, to most of us we don't care because it is the feeling that counts. =3

Chouji is kind of big. Asuma could be played as a big guy, cept when you wear the vest, its gonna have to be a little tight. You could play as majiin buu, but im not sure if you were talking bout naruto or anime in general.
