Me and my friend Andy Price would get together sometimes for fun, call ourselves the Minus Two Jazz Quartet, one would pick up the guitar, one the bass and we'd just play anything, no key, any time signature and it sounded just like this - we'd be laughing so much our stomachs hurt, but when we listened back to the recordings they sounded amazingly authentic! Still got those tapes somewhere, Sunrise at Dawn was my favourite. Thanks for the memories and making me laugh!
I beeen searchin for new "shreads" and lmao every time. Sad tis true, but hey, only the select can appreciate it! ... And we know where the actual best can be found!
Amazing fretwork on the drums with pure genious furniture arrangement. I have never seen a bassist play applause like a small pianist plays a sustain pedal!! Never to repeated like this ever again!
HAHA I think Joe Pass's guitar's has been re-recorded by a violin looool so funny =) I love all those shred ! And the funniest thing is to see comments of people who think this is for real ! aaah come on now !!
A fantastic shred, but some jazz shows are actually worse than this, usually the ones that begin with, "I'd like to thank the Canada Council for the Arts for sponsoring this event."
even though not perfectly in sync, for me this is the funniest shreds thing right after paco de lucia. the absurd piano playing and especially the plunkity plink guitar are fantastic.
and when you think it won't get any funnier, the bass player and the drummer have their solos.
this is truly great shredding. i cried from laughing...
I am such a HUGE fan of Oscar Peterson and the rest of the quartet here but, oh dear, I don't quite know what to say about this..........errrr.........racket! As clever as this piece may be, it is definitely not for me!
I can't believe people would actually spend all the time to muck this music up but I'M SURE GLAD THEY DO. I haven't laughed my ass off like this in years.
i am quite sure i m gonna get lots of red handz 4 that comment, but i really do not like it i wish i would, .. but i really do not like it, it is simply too hard and chaotic.
I love this - I can't stop laughing about the absurdity of the musicians' seriousness and devotion whilst "playing" complete bullsh*t. Thanks a lot for this one!

Some musicians play jazz like this seriously...either because they evolved (?)
from plain vanilla bebop to the
