@Igorpnd from what? if somethink hits the filter it will properly break it and also do some demage to the lens itself also the uv filter can easy create reflektions between the 2 glass elements and can cause trouble
are you sure your mature enough for a camera like that? ive been doing photography for 2 years and i havent been able to afford a camera like that, then i see this, some punk ass kid has one, wtf?
You're so smart and did it very well! Tamron 28-75mm is a good lens but I have a difficulty to choose between 24-105mm f/4L IS USM and it. Anyway, u're excellent! ^^
So you brought food to feed the plane? But any ways, good review! I use a d2h which I love! But remember that mega pixles don't make a camera better. The d2h only has 4 but it still is better then a rebble or d60( no offence). But keep up the good work!
28mm is not considered wide angle, esp with that 1.6 crop factor on the xti. 1.6 x 28=44.8mm which is definitely not a wide angle. The kit lens would have more of a wide angle then that lens. 200mm is telephoto, so its obvious its not going to be wide.
At first I thought you looked a little young, but that was a really good review. I just got the Xti for Christmas today and I was looking around for demoes and such, you helped me a lot. Thanks.
i hope you don't shot over-handed like that. your young, don't pick up nasty habits like that. always shoot underhand meaning hand under the lens and not over... nothing says beginner better than someone focusing from the top of the lens.
You really do not know what you are talking about you did have alot of facts correct but alot not so correct i use that camera also but just study and get your facts strait it is great to see a bigger interest in phtography though
XSi for sure if you made your choice between D60 and XSi. (take a look at the D90 or D80)I am a long time Pentax user so no bias or anything :D Hope its not too late.
Very helpful, I persuaded my dad to buy a nice camera, and he gave it to me yesterday. (The Canon Rebel XTi, of course.) Hmmmm, I know a lot about the camera's capabilities alone, but as far as accessories, what do you recommend?
@CountryMaster16 Not everyone can shell out $1,300 for an L lens. While this guy didn't point out any specifics about the Tamron, the optics are surprisingly good and can rival the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L
fyi just pointing out. 28-75mm is mainly a portrait lens and not a really good lens for landscape as it is a midrange zoom. A good landscape lens would be like s 10-20mm or a 12-24mm
I have to say you amaze me. After viewing your helpful videos, I actually know how to somewhat use my camera. I was wondering about a external flash for indoor photos... maybe something on the hotshoe? Who knows what I am talking about, I am hoping it makes some kind of sense to you. I have issues with indoor photography, is there a better way to take them without a flash as well? Lost in the settings!
I have been looking into buying a Rebel xTi and I must say your reviews helped alot. I think I will buy one. I am just a beginner but I think it has everything I need. Great reviews! Keep up the good work. I just have one question. Is there a mood on the camera for black and grey photos?
lol, you sounded like a robot at the end. Also how much did the lense cost? One last thing did you take and pics on the plane? If you did, did the lense work well for that? That is basicly all I will use mine for, planes.
what do you think of your tamron lens after using if for awhile now? i'm thinking about buying it although i'm also thinking about a canon 17-85 and a canon 28-135 for a good walk around lens.
Hey nice job! I really like your videos. And i personally like the fact that you don't have your every word planed out. Spur of the moment is the way to go!
Too bad the D200 is in a different class even the D80 is more upper level serious photographer still a fun camera to use ;) i still love my XTi, just cant wait to get my hands on the 40D
Sir/or mam i have a Nikon D80, trust me on this it may be a few extra hundred but it is definately worth it, the build quality is amazing, and the camera itselft is excellent. I was too going to purchase canon rebel xti but when i compare the two physically the D80 Hands Down also the quality and what a machine it still is.
your better than that retard Randall M. Rueff and his faggotry. If you've ever watched his videos you'll see that he has waaaayy too much time on his hands. And yet he's allowed to have a camera. This little man did great!!
Hey, great review! You sound like you know your stuff! I just switched over from film, and got me an XT. Nice to know there are people younger than I am into photography!
Two stars?!?!? I'm giving you four stars, but with pointers: Don't say "like" so much, never state a point and then retract with "I don't know," don't take so much time plugging a company, and don't repeat yourself so much. To follow up on the last tips, you spent the last 2 minutes of your video talking about where you bought the camera and asking people to email you. That's 30-second material.
i have been debating getting this lens. i have seen alot of pictures and reviews saying the only drawback between this and the 24-70L is the Tamron has slightly slower focusing which I dont care about. I may get it after watching this!
this camera do not have a FULL FRAME SENSOR, that means that you have a 1,6 factor on the lenses. if you have a 28mm lens, it is going to be like if you have a 44mm lens. if you want wide angle view in this kind cameras you should get a 10-20mm lens or 17mm to really have wide angle
hey what zoom are you thinkin of gettin i have the canon 75-300 f4.0-5.6 it was my first zoom lense i also have the XTi but i have the battery grip trust me it is a good purchase, the canon 70-200 f4 L series is a good purchase its 560 dollars on B&H photo its 360 dollars more than the 75-300 buts its worth every penny and u could use polarizer filters with out the zoom and focus ring spinning and messing up the filter
Well first of all... shooting vertically and horizontally... we can do it for any camera, but man learn what your talkin' about and then make several test with a camera for finaly review it on web 'cause on web if you're doing anything wrong, people will complain about it. But anyway I'm sure you can do it just learn more about photography
Don't listen to these kids who are insulting you. You're unexperienced, but you'll get there. I give you my condolences for actually making a review, rather than the other fools who just sit around making fun of others. Good work, keep it up(well, get better as well :D)
Yeah you're doing fine. I watched it and enjoyed it except you could have been more specific on some of the features of both the camera and the lens. You also could have included some sample pictures, but otherwise it was good!
"many people complain that the extended battery grip is a great purchase" what the hell does that mean?........they bitch about how great it is? lol........that doesnt even make sense.....seriously stop reviewing cameras.
Hi Will, just to post a little feedback here. I shoot with a nikon f5 35 , and most of my co-workers have wether d2xs, d2hs and even tough they have the nikon's flagship models i still take better pics with the f5, the picture quality is all about the shooter... also 28mm equals about 45, wich is a normal lens, thats the fun of having a 17-35 on a 35MM :P
all in all...stop the reviews, learn more and then come back
yea it seems he has no idea actually ... '28 ... pretty low number...' 28mm is wide ? no, no not on a rebel... below 18mm is wide ... and what u say about uv filters is pure bullshit also.. a uv filter has no effect on any picture. bad ones even decrease level of details in a picture.
i never said anything about a camera in my post...i said if they take his advice on things they're gonna wind up worse off. He gives false information.
Mulit Coated UV filters shouldnt degrade the picture. Its not even noticeable during shoots unless your a complete peeping pixel person, a good UV filter wont degrade a picture. Plus a UV filter allows me to not clean my front element that often.
you are completely right of course, i just wanted to say that they dont have a positive effect on your pictures like not blurring light areas or idk what he said lol. of course it's a good way to protect your lens. btw its even 28mm x 1.6 = 45mm on a APS-C sensor lol. i'm thinking about getting the tamron 17-50mm and later an additional 10-22mm or 10-20mm from canon or sigma ... THAT is wide [:
Lol 28 multiplied by 1.4x = 35mm at its wide end. Thats no where near wide enough for landscape, of course its the photographer, not the lens. I use the 24-105mm and its wide enough for me.
nice video ! and well i want to ask is how much is it ? and iam new to this kinda and iam thinking to get one so yea and you think the powershot g7 or g9 is good ?
i see i see well today i went to a store randomly and they said the rebel is $699 LOL i was like 0_0 haha well iam maybe going to find a cheaper rebel that is not use around $600 and ill get it. one more thing, what kind of lens should i get for a use like good for most of the style ? because i think iam not going to buy sooo much lens for a while after you know LOL
depends on how much money you have an what you want to shoot, if you are like most consumers just stick with the 18-55 it should do you good for a year or two but if you take of with photography you'll want a better one
One more retarded kid who dont know anything about photo, does you mom love you?i think she love you more than she need

The UV filter doesn't affect the image for digital cameras, only for film cameras. All it does for you is protect your lens.
28mm on the 1.6x crop factor is not wide at all.

i have been debating getting this lens. i have seen alot of pictures and reviews saying the only drawback between this and the 24-70L is the Tamron has slightly slower focusing which I dont care about. I may get it after watching this!
medic8571 4 years ago
well done my friend... just something important.
this camera do not have a FULL FRAME SENSOR, that means that you have a 1,6 factor on the lenses. if you have a 28mm lens, it is going to be like if you have a 44mm lens. if you want wide angle view in this kind cameras you should get a 10-20mm lens or 17mm to really have wide angle

Dude.
just stop, you really dont know what your talking about.
This is not a "pro" camera, its still a consumer product.
And its called Ultrasonic vibrations.
all it is, is a high frequency vibration.
Next time you decide to post another review.....learn your facts.

hey what zoom are you thinkin of gettin i have the canon 75-300 f4.0-5.6 it was my first zoom lense i also have the XTi but i have the battery grip trust me it is a good purchase, the canon 70-200 f4 L series is a good purchase its 560 dollars on B&H photo its 360 dollars more than the 75-300 buts its worth every penny and u could use polarizer filters with out the zoom and focus ring spinning and messing up the filter
nicktabus1000 4 years ago
ya i might look at the 70-200 L thanks for suggesting

Well first of all... shooting vertically and horizontally... we can do it for any camera, but man learn what your talkin' about and then make several test with a camera for finaly review it on web 'cause on web if you're doing anything wrong, people will complain about it. But anyway I'm sure you can do it just learn more about photography
PPWarrior 4 years ago
Don't listen to these kids who are insulting you. You're unexperienced, but you'll get there. I give you my condolences for actually making a review, rather than the other fools who just sit around making fun of others. Good work, keep it up(well, get better as well :D)

thanks man... They were my first reviews
Techreviews 4 years ago
Yeah you're doing fine. I watched it and enjoyed it except you could have been more specific on some of the features of both the camera and the lens. You also could have included some sample pictures, but otherwise it was good!

"many people complain that the extended battery grip is a great purchase" what the hell does that mean?........they bitch about how great it is? lol........that doesnt even make sense.....seriously stop reviewing cameras.
theone2225 4 years ago
I'm pretty sure that the Rebel XT doesn't have the anti-dust feature...
KoreansRock1 4 years ago
the XTi does tho
Techreviews 4 years ago
you can shoot vertically and horizontally with this camera???? GET OUT!!!! lol you can do that with any camera. stop doing reviews.
theone2225 4 years ago
Hi Will, just to post a little feedback here. I shoot with a nikon f5 35 , and most of my co-workers have wether d2xs, d2hs and even tough they have the nikon's flagship models i still take better pics with the f5, the picture quality is all about the shooter... also 28mm equals about 45, wich is a normal lens, thats the fun of having a 17-35 on a 35MM :P
all in all...stop the reviews, learn more and then come back
no offense
mikitoo 4 years ago 3
Absolutely correct.
Markthecameraguy 4 years ago 3
dude, honestly....you shouldnt be doing reviews.....they arent that good.
theone2225 4 years ago 4
yea it seems he has no idea actually ... '28 ... pretty low number...' 28mm is wide ? no, no not on a rebel... below 18mm is wide ... and what u say about uv filters is pure bullshit also.. a uv filter has no effect on any picture. bad ones even decrease level of details in a picture.
danielbum912 4 years ago 3
lol ya definately..........i feel bad for anyone who actually listens to him and takes him seriously because they're gonna have shitty ass photos
theone2225 4 years ago
Dude it isnt the camera its the photographer. Noob. You can have the Mk-III and still take shitty pictures.
BakaTheCow 4 years ago
i never said anything about a camera in my post...i said if they take his advice on things they're gonna wind up worse off. He gives false information.
theone2225 4 years ago
Mulit Coated UV filters shouldnt degrade the picture. Its not even noticeable during shoots unless your a complete peeping pixel person, a good UV filter wont degrade a picture. Plus a UV filter allows me to not clean my front element that often.
BakaTheCow 4 years ago
you are completely right of course, i just wanted to say that they dont have a positive effect on your pictures like not blurring light areas or idk what he said lol. of course it's a good way to protect your lens. btw its even 28mm x 1.6 = 45mm on a APS-C sensor lol. i'm thinking about getting the tamron 17-50mm and later an additional 10-22mm or 10-20mm from canon or sigma ... THAT is wide [:
danielbum912 4 years ago
opps i keep forgeting its 1.6x not 1.4x for my TC XD
BakaTheCow 4 years ago
Lol 28 multiplied by 1.4x = 35mm at its wide end. Thats no where near wide enough for landscape, of course its the photographer, not the lens. I use the 24-105mm and its wide enough for me.

nice video ! and well i want to ask is how much is it ? and iam new to this kinda and iam thinking to get one so yea and you think the powershot g7 or g9 is good ?
Junr34 4 years ago
it was around 900-1000 with the lens. but you can get it mmuch cheaper without this lens.
i have not heard of the powershot g7 or9
drumdemon102 4 years ago
o how much is with the lens that come with it ?
and o well i heard the g9 is pretty good cuz is 12MP and it do video so is not like rebel just about pictures you know so yea.
Junr34 4 years ago
lens around 400
drumdemon102 4 years ago
i see i see well today i went to a store randomly and they said the rebel is $699 LOL i was like 0_0 haha well iam maybe going to find a cheaper rebel that is not use around $600 and ill get it. one more thing, what kind of lens should i get for a use like good for most of the style ? because i think iam not going to buy sooo much lens for a while after you know LOL
Junr34 4 years ago
depends on how much money you have an what you want to shoot, if you are like most consumers just stick with the 18-55 it should do you good for a year or two but if you take of with photography you'll want a better one
Techreviews 4 years ago
i see i see you think 35mm to 75mm is good for me like ? iam more maybe take pictures in a city so yea
