Very nice! Sounds good and looks great. Be sure to get the Speed Box II, it's the best improvement you can make to your Pro-ject turntable. Thanks for sharing.
I see you and I have similar taste....in music and in SPEAKERS!!! I also have a pair of Paradigm Titans.....interesting model name.....they are small speakers, but their sound is indeed TITANic! I love mine! What version of the Titans do you have? I have the V.4. I've heard that later iterations of the Titans weren't as well made and definitely did not sound as good, and that Paradigm apparently changed the design concept so that they were more for "home theater" instead of music. Ugh!
@phantasm1004 Hey thanks! I don't know which version it is... but I got them about two years ago. So maybe they're the "home theater" design ones. Regardless, they sound pretty good to me.
@8productions8 There are two tracks on the motor, where the rubber band is attached. The 45 is the bigger track under the smaller 33 track. You can see it 8 seconds into the video.
What do you use for a dustcover? I like the turntable very much, but Pro-Ject charges a whopping $350 for its universal cover. WTF! It's just plastic...
@calderwis No dust cover. I originally had an acrylic cover generically made for another turntable, but it ended up being too much of a hassle putting it on and taking it off... and I kept knocking into the tonearm, which is definitely bad. Plus, why cover up something this pretty? :)
I am sorry to bother you again, but would it be possible to get the cone feet dimensions from you? Just the distance between two of them would work since I am betting they are all three equidistant from one another. Thank you so much...this will help answer a placement question in my new set up.
@meshuggha They're not equidistant. One side is about 6 inches, another side is closer to 7 inches, and third side is more than 7 inches. They're not equidistant because one cone foot has to be farther away to compensate for the weight of the tone arm, RCA jacks, etc. However, I bet the center of mass IS at the center though.
@pyoung115 - Seems like you are pretty pleased with the TT. Any motor hum issues so far? Also, what is the little "clamp" that you are using - the three "sided" little thing?
@meshuggha Very happy with the table. The motor itself isn't actually touching the chassis, so the vibration doesn't cause any noticeable hum issues. The little "clamp" thing is a cap that came with the table. It's suppose to set the record to enforce its flatness, but it's really just for show, since it's just a piece of plastic.
@bridgebolt51 haven't heard the grado green. but compared to grado black, I like the pearl a lot better. to me it seems the pearl plays with a more dynamic range than the black.

how do you change the speeds?

@pyoung115 oh right so you manually have to take the rubber band out and put on the each pulley?
8productions8 1 year ago
@8productions8 Yep. Or- you can buy a Pro-Ject Speed Box that hooks into the motor and then you can change speeds by pressing a button on the box.

@coasttocoast7 I don't think so.

does it have a preamplifier this turntable or do i need to connect an external one ?
neiapomodori 1 year ago
@neiapomodori You need to connect an external one, or hook it up to an integrated amp that has one.

@pyoung115 I think that little plastic thing is for playing 45 records not for clamping the record down..

@jjrosaria2 That would make a lot more sense! Thanks!
