@pr0n9z fidel castro is not a dictator. however, corporate america is a dictator. and anyone who supports the u.s. is anti-freedom. in fact, anyone who supports the u.s. is a terrorist.
Amilcar Cabral, can you describe the political and military situation in Guinea?
Very briefly we can say that the political situation is the following: after almost 7 years of armed struggle...having liberated more than 2 thirds of our national territory, a State is beginning to take shape in these liberated regions. We have a political organization, which is our party. Everyday, we are developing a little bit more our administrative organization and little by little,
we are developing our economy. That means that our situation is that of an independent State of which a certain part is still occupied by foreign/colonial forces, particularly the urban centers and certain regions in the country. This administering power has become a terrorist that bombards the civilian populations of our country with nepal bombs as well as other bombs. They carry out air raids to kill children, women and the elderly in just about every region in the country,
, destroying our culture, crops, especially the rice fields in order to starve us to death. However, they must acknowledge their powerlessness to quell our freedom struggle.
Independence to accomplish what? Well first of all, to be ourselves, to be African men, with everything that characterizes us, to achieve a betterr life and so that we can identify ourselves with the rest of humanity here on earth. Salazar used to say "Africa doesn't exist without Europeans". It is an exageration and the French are in a privileged position to know that it's not true. We believe that our independence will enable us to develop our own culture..
.to develop ourselves, and to develop our country by putting an end to the misery and suffering enduring by rur people. Because, after 5 centuries of Portuguese presence in Guinea, we want independence, not because we are racist, but because we are Africans, African men, an African people, who, today, is accomplishing its goal of becoming an independent, sovereign nation, all while having relations with other countries.
We want independence to accomplish in our country what other people have accomplished in theirs. And to create a situation where we are no longer exploited by foreigners but also where we are not exploited by Africans themselves. Because, there is no correlation beteen skin color and the ability to exploit people.
I've always said that we are ready to negotiate, it is incumbent on the Portuguese to speak up and say something. As we speak the same language, we have no diffiulty understanding each other
There you have it, that is what he says in the video :-)

Many countries have become independent and we've often heard this sentence "inependence for what"?
