The only decent Star Wars movie George Lucas directed was Episode IV (Episode III was 'meh' at best), I hope he has the sense to relinquish the reins to a more capable director, and somebody who appreciates the source material. Let's be honest, George Lucas seems to be more interested in CGI and special effects than telling a good story nowadays, and a TV series is NOT a good medium for that. Maybe he'll learn, though. what are you on about? this tv series has been confermed by lucas film ltd and have said they orriganly planned for its release mid/late 2009 to early 2010 and there is suppost to be at least 100 episodes but could be up to 400 episodes. Its happening between revenge of the sith and a new hope. It is happening.

You need to rethink your timeline facts on this little clip. The live action TV series will be between episodes III & IV; it will have very few major characters in it from the movie series and is mainly about the beginning conflicts just before the Galactic Civil War.... Also you should note that the Rebellion began to form during Episode III. It was cut from the final production of the movie for time reasons. You can see the unfinished scenes in the special features of the DVD release.

what i should have said was there wouldnt be Jango (fighting obi-wan on kamino), or any involvement with Geonosis (where u see the slave 1 fireing on obi-wans delta 7). but yes Boba was very much alive at the beginning of episode 4. and i personally dont like the EU of things after return of the jedi, but i know it is said that he did get out of the sarlacc and went on hunting Han Solo for years afterwards.

Logic dictates that new characters need a decent introduction if they are to live up to Starwars muthos, the only way to do it is by association with established ones.

Well actually that stuff is true to the timeline between Episodes 3 and 4. Obi - Wan goes serching for Ferus Olin (One of his friends who's an X Jedi) He runs into Boba, gets chased around the galaxy by him with Trever (A Strong headed street kid) They eventually find Ferus. They run into Boba Fett and De har' han and escape. The Force is weak with Ferus now and he wants to just forget about his "Previous Life" as a Jedi Apprentice.
