japanese folk songs and tales are quite scary if you think about it though, like　通りゃんせ・・・　“行きはよいよい、帰りは恐い” and besides, since this song is basically like yay my child survived till 7, it's kinda related to death and all... oh, and "kagome, kagome" is weird too... and "kachikachiyama", a folk tale, is just scary... I mean, the grandpa is tricked into eating his own wife in a soup!
