  • if you are interested to know about assassins, read Lord of Alamut book, it about how hassan sabah, the Iranian leader managed the assassins and other stories about them

  • i read a book about renessaince and they were assasins in italy ok i read it in a book i bet u hav this info from internet internet is a lie

  • also when you say they vanished from history or whatever, how do you know they didnt go into hiding? history has to be re written because they are discovering new things

  • hey faggot before making a video try to pronounce everything right!!! Its Ismaili not Islamali..i know cuz i am one

  • Great video loved it, thanks for the info. Going to watch part 2 now

  • Gr

  • 1 mistake, in ACR, you dont see Marco Polo, but Niccolo Polo and his brother

  • @timonosinga no and his son Marco i swear he said ''you ready son''

  • i think brotherhood was better

  • YES THEY DID

  • The assassins were not wiped out by mongols, but sent into hiding. Not speaking from the game but what the game designers themselves researched

  • i love assassins creed

  • but u say that the assasins doesn't exist anymore but i think it was proven the templars still exist so why not the assassin's you never now the secrets of planet eart.

  • i know it already but to say it short the real assassins were the suiside murders from that time

  • assassins creed revelations was really good i liked it

  • And the Assassin's in Syria (what the games are based on) were a sect of extremely religious Islamists of the Nezari branch of Islam. People that today are labelled terrorists.

It's funny how in western pop culture the same thing is labelled a terrorist in one sense and revered as a rolemodel in the other.

  • @gold333 It leaves you speechless does it not?

  • Thanks. But surely the Italian renaissance had assassin's. There's hitmen in any age.

  • @gold333 Of course, but he talks about THE original Assassins, the islamic sect!

  • @gold333 The assassins were supposedly destroyed after the mongol invasion. But you never know, recorded history is not always correct. They may have survived that. Some believe the same thing about the templar knights. Some believe that the freemasons are descendants of templar knights. But thats moving close to conspiracy theories which isn't the point. The answer to your thought is possibly.

  • I think you mean Nicollo Polo, not Marco.

  • Hey does it count as me being an assassin if I have a real hidden blade like to ware blacked hoods and clothes so you can't see me but don't do a whole lotta a parkour and if I stabbed someone because they pissed of my friend and no they are not dead

  • who knovs mabye they stil exist mabye they are aurovnd us

  • it wasnt marco polo shown but his father niccolo polo

  • you said they where killed off or they went into hidding

  • Great video but just a correction: Marco Polo did not show up in Revelations; it was in fact Niccolo Polo - Marco's father.

  • That was a great way to explain it...the order of Hashashin...

  • you have a cool intro

  • Assassins (hashashins) were formed in Persia by Hasan Sabbah. They dealt hashish ( the middleastern equivilant of opium.) God it's good to be Persian XD. Nothing is true. Everything is permitted. Is apparently a quote said by Hasan Sabbah also. I love how we are all coming here and accepting knowledge rather than shunning everyone. :D

  • @SkippingAsssassin117 actually, i believe hashish is a form of cannabis

  • Al Mualim's real name in assassins creed is shown on the wikipedia and its rashad... whatever the rest of his name is. so Al Mualim is meant to be Rashad...

  • Comment removed

  • i was an assasin, then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • @01oo011 More like: I used to be a Templar, then I took a blade to the neck.

  • @zaidred HA

  • i was in tht video did u see me.

  • You care to post some references in your description?? Otherwise I'll have a really hard time believing some guy posting videos about a video game. :)

  • @SubzeroedMind I will in the next video, but all you have to do is a little research and all the info is there :)

  • didn't Marco Polo persuaded Genghis khan to leave Maysaf after it was conquered

( you learn something new everyday)

  • they were good guys or bad guys????! cause im from Shia muslims

  • @TheAssassinH it all depends on your beliefs

  • @TheAssassinH I would say good beacuse they were formed to get the crusaders out of their lands

  • epic, cant wait for part 2

  • An interview in gameinformer with ubisoft dudes working on the assassin creed franchise has yannis mallat saying they were visited by The Aga Kahn, descendants of the prophit Muhammed and of the Ismailis - the very first assassins. "that was quite a scary moment actually"-YM

  • they didn't fear death. but i love the video! I have got to find Polo's book @_@

  • You should continue this. This is VERY interesting. Keep it up!

  • @TheHaoxuxu part 2 just came up on my channel! Thanks man

  • wheres part 2?

  • @TOACIROS its coming out on my channel today or tomorrow, on PE next week

  • And also can you please look up the hashashin legacy? In the first assassins creed the camera always pans up and shows Altaiar sitting down and smoking - this is something known for the Hashashin (means smokers?), their supposedly assassins of Turkish Descent.

  • History is mostly about asking the right question then investigating for the answer.

  • its a game i think its soppose to be fiction

  • @hachi180 its based on real event though

  • you said there were no assassins because they were wiped out in 1265; but didnt this game take place in 1191? the first one did

  • @Apocoliptico yeah 1191 was before 1265...

  • i'm italian and i can say that u've done a good job....^.^

  • Are there any possibilities that the assassins order survived after 1270s and keep acting mysticaly through centuries???Who knows. . . . . . . . . .

  • @Cychreus the order wasn't around, but some assassins turned into mercenaries. The only reason i say they weren't around is because their leadership crumbled in 1265ish

  • Very nice video!!

For feedback, I'd suggest showing related images from google, or related footage from the games to the current thing you're talking about. For example, you talked about Al Mualim but didn't show him. Just stuff like that.

I enjoyed your video though. Very interesting. Can't wait for part 2!!

  • @chocobosROK thanks for the feedback man, I have already been planing to do most of that for part 2! Hope it works

  • i want to know when part 2 comes out.

  • @KBomb2010 On my channel this Saturday! idk when on PE. Thanks!

  • @MrTexan505 inGame i loved how we hated them, it made me get into the story, it made me not want to stop playing. Actual Templar are different.

  • I am suprised you thit not tell us about the smoking of weed before an assassination. It is something the assassins where known for!

  • @MrPixelMonster im saving that for part 2 :)

  • Im glad I knew all bout this before the video :D

  • I really enjoyed the video and the information you've gathered, but if I could come with one suggestion for the next one, it would be to practice reading it a bit longer, so that you avoid the monotonous voice. It's hard to get people enthusiastic if it sounds like you're bored yourself. :)

Looking forward to the next part!

  • never played any of the AC series but i enjoyed this .

  • Far from boring.

  • loved it

  • I still think AC is a great story. Obviously the Assassins were not running around Italy killing the Pope, but it is a good alternate universe to explore. I love how the Assassins story line actually is based off of the real events in the time period, even though we all sorta know that it is fictional. Very interesting video and a very great job by Ubisoft :)

  • Honestly, I think this is a good video. But I feel like this guy is trying to ruin the AC series by telling people that, basically, EVERYTHING in the games are fake! To me, it kills the excitement and vibe of a good game series, such as AC. Just my opinion.

  • @MrSniperking20 I see what your saying, im not trying to ruin it for anyone, but common sense would say that most of this stuff is fake, i just wnt people to know the true assassins, b/c it pisses me off when people believe everything in a game is real. thanks for the comment

  • I used to be an assasin like you, then i took an arrow in the knee

  • I wonder if in AC3 when you play as Desmond.... you will use guns? Like pistols or rifles

  • also the word "assassin" came from an old word "hassassin" as there was a village completely attacked so they went out killing the enem atticked to a certain drug got the name "hassassin"

  • Really awesome!!! But I'm trying to rais awareness about this: Iran is not pronounced "I ran", it's pronounced "Ee ( as in free) run" thank you for your attention. Also... During the course of your videos can you please talk about the pieces of Eden?

  • the assassins are the secret moslem (shia) order in persian created by hassan i sabah to eliminate thread againts their country, including other moslem (suuni) and crusaders, and they are also known for almost eliminated salahudin, and that hassan himself greet him when he (salahudin) was sleeping by leaving a poisonus apple in his chest and knife in his desk, thats because (not sure if true) salahudin didnt like them for using their method, and after that salahudin invite them to join the Jihad

  • @r3nmazu0 i forgot that it was not hassan who make attempts to kill salahudin, he was "the old man of the mountain" Rashideddin Sinan the assassins leader from masyaf, hassan was already death that time >,<

  • Chill, looking forward to more vids

  • Very interestinggggg... No really, i enjoyed the video, looking forward to the next one.

  • thanks man. I knew alot but only because I did a college paper on it. but I still learned something.

  • Nice job bro can't wait for part two

  • Another video since this is interesting

  • Where did the clip come from?

  • @bluediamondO77 various gameplay trailers from the series

  • Im sorry, but it was niccolo and Maffeo Polo that were shown Marco was mentioned. Niccolo and Maffeo were part of the Assassin order in the game, so...yeah

  • @blazinblue777 in the game yeah, i messed that part up, but thats the video games story line, lol who cares about that, in real life Marco was the one who wrote about them,

  • Hell yeah fellow Texan, fucking awesome video!

  • not Marco Polo his father and brother where shown.

  • @killinator56 i realize that now, but Marco is the one in real life that wrote about the assassins

  • What a great video! So informative, never knew any of this before! Nice work with finding the information!

  • For everyone's clarification, when I say assassin's didnt exist in that time period, I am saying that the Assassin Order was dismantled and never conducted anymore assassinations or "missions" Don't believe everything in the game, b/c most of it is changed to fit the story line of the game! Thanks!

  • @MrTexan505 it just seems like everything you do, you suck at

  • @MrTexan505 Great video man! From a guy with a degree in History, I respect this video so much!

  • @PrestigeModeGaming thanks a ton man!

  • @MrTexan505 You shouldn't let yourself get dragged too in your conclusions. History is written only by the victor, and a flashy disappearance such as an invasion or dismantling makes good publicity for any organization to lay low (if you know what I mean).

  • @FellitoRockero I know what you mean, but if they were"laying low"they have been laying low every since lol because they lost all political power and structure, no one was every assassinated in the name of their belief. As for as everyone knows they just became mercs for the highest bidders in royalty. B/c there is no life long war against any templars and what not, all of that past the fall of the Assassins (in real life) was just to fit the story line that ubisoft came up with

  • @FellitoRockero it is just my opinion, no one really knows haha. but most likely they didnt do anything else afterwords

  • this was great, oh, one thing i wanted to ask. Did any of the other AC games make you hate the Templar as much as The original AC?

  • @TNSFail3r no they don't lol because you have to realize that they are made to seem worse in the game to better fit the story line

  • hell yeah gurl want to see more

  • Really informative and interesting. I want a part 2.

However, I'd like to see some sources. Could you leave some in the description, or at least in a comment?

  • i just love it

  • this is nice

  • Comment removed

  • @grungebobb Actually the Keys do.

  • @MrKingofevil How do you know that Al Mualim was a Muslim?

  • Amazing!!

  • Great video!

  • Really awesome. Hands down one of the best franchises in this gaming generation.

  • gay tony

  • I'm just going to say one thing. Digger Nick.

  • in World history, We just started learning about early mordern ages including Venice, Florence, and Constantinople. and i was so happy i played Assassins Creed games because i got a shit ton of questions right

  • @MegaDrainProductions sam phew didnt let em know that though

  • I wish the Assassin's Creed games went beck to the basic original Assassin's Creed style. I especially hate guns. They remind me of Mount and Blade bringing in guns. It's annoying.

  • The Masyaf in the AC games is heavily based on Alamut (Alamout), the mountainous location, the building structure, even the gardens round the back.

  • thumbs up if you want to start the assassian order again!!! :D

  • WTF the mona lisa?!

  • @totalepicwin retard

  • hmmm....i'm pretty sure your confusing Marco Polo, with Niccolo Polo. Marco never appeared in any of the games, he was mentioned in AC2 and also twice in ACR once by Yusuf and once by Altair.

And it wasn't Marco who wrote about the assassins....it was Niccolo his father

At least get the easy facts right....

  • @pivfighter The video game says that Niccolo Polo wrote about them, to go with the story line, but if you look into Marco Polo's writings, he does mention the Assassin's. Thanks for the comment!

  • @MrTexan505 yeah! your right, he just doesn't make very clear when he's talking about the real life assassins or the fictional ones

  • This dude reminds me of the voice over guy in Reservoir Dogs. :D

  • Badass! I just shared this on Twitter and my facebook!

  • so the first assassin was muslim....COOOOOL I'M MUSLIM... and i'm proud :)

  • @xN21Rx you fuck !!!! :O

  • almut is in Assassins creed: altrair's chronicles of the DS...

  • for some reason we read about assassins in the middle east today at school, so basically, i knew most of the facts you mentioned :D

  • Your voice. Goddamnit

  • 5:00 ish... Ezio doesn't have memories, desmond does. Honest mistake.

  • من يعرف الحشاشين

    هذولي هم لول

  • For part 2, can we get some one with a personallity?

  • Was really interesting! Keep doing what you're doin, cus you're darn good at it.

  • The thing why assassins "didn't exist", is because they were hiding in shadows... good hiding :D

  • Connections between Illuminati and Templars please!

  • The historical references are what pulled me to the AC series in the first place. Love it <3

  • nice

  • Awesome episode!

  • love*

  • i loe youtube History liked

  • 0 people have trouble now

  • They are talking about the 'lore of the Assassin's Creed world. So yes assassins have always existed but in the Assassin's Creed the only assassins that ever existed were only part of the Assassins. So, they are talking about the Assassin's world and not our own

  • They probably exist now!Although we don't know about it and they use guns now!

  • Great video, really interesting!

  • As long as there's been one man willing to pay for murder, there's been assassins...

  • @CIW35 as long as there are people that need to die, our brotherhood shall live! (taken from the comic)

  • @Xboxdude343 I'm pretty sure they didn't have the hidden blade back then, or at least not to the extent shown in the game. Parkour, maybe. I mean, the idea of getting from point A to point B as fast as possible by climbing shit shouldn't be a new idea...

  • "we know assassins didn't exist in that time period" Lol just because they weren't part of some organization ( which im not sure any were just started watching) but i'm sorry, that's a stupid thing to say. Assassins have nearly always existed.

  • @YetiTurmoil killers have always existed. assassins are organized killers from organizations. im pretty sure this guy did his homwework. just take his word for it or find us some prof that isnt from a hollywood movie

  • @YetiTurmoil Also, they maybe a part of secret organizations and archived nothing about theirselves and left no clue, blended in the history, as heroes for some and foes for others

  • @YetiTurmoil ...

  • @YetiTurmoil Assassins had no leadership in the 15th and 16th centuries when the other games take place, they didn't conduct anymore Assassinations. But then again no one really knows, but that is what historians and scholars say. Thanks for the comment!

  • i bet theres a secrert assassin order now that no one knows about

  • Looks like you checked a wikipedia page :)

  • this is my chance to get tothe top comments..uhh....MY MUM HAS A DICK...oh wait

  • could of done it with a bit more emotion -_-

  • Noooo Ezio couldn't have existed.

  • shame the hidden blade (in-game hidden blade) is not real. : (

  • EPIC

  • This is the reason why I love Assasins Creed, the wonderful mix between authenticity and fantasy. It's like living history!

  • @SebastianSliter and some times it gets you thanking wut if it happend for real they blend it in so well

  • @SebastianSliter Assassin's Creed makes History Fun. ITS PURE AWESOMENESS EVERY AC GAME SHOULD GET A 10 I DONT KNOW WHY BUT THE STUPID IDIOTS OVER AT IGN GAVE IT

    AC=7.5

    AC II=9.2

    AC:BH= 8.0

    AC:R=8.5

    Such dickheads, are IGN.

  • @SebastianSliter

Every AC has beautiful worlds to explore, and the worlds themselves are really immersive. The Crusades is my favorite setting AC has been in so far.

  • @SebastianSliter True but will it have an ending -_-

  • doeeeee

  • Nice video but u need to be more enthusiastic
