It happened after Bill had asked Sam to protect her.. And Bill was gone for a long time, so Sam got a shot at Sookie... and then Bill comes and fights Sam, and Sookie re-sine his invitation...

i truly don't like bill because i sense something not right with him, he's too obsessed with sookie and extremely jealous. he viewed sookie as his property although he do love her. in episode 8 when he came out from the grave and grab sookie, he can't control himself and bite her for blood even though she said "not tonight".. sam is the perfect lover for sookie, he's always there when sookie needed somebody. but i'm sad the way sookie treated him although sam remain loyal to her in his love..
