I am a Land Surveyor and we use the Scan Station 2 to do topographic work and area measurements in heritage buildings. so we give clients plans based upon the information we scan and its great because once we have scanned it we never have to go back if they want something else measured up. I think when we bought it it cost around 150 000$
I can see this technology being used as a component of game design. Does anyone know of this being used for more than just a reference tool? What are some actual design features or even potential ones that this thing carries?
