@baseballkidmw2 You're right, because ordinarily that wouldn't happen. The only reason that they did was because the Islanders drew an exponential amount of penalties against the Pens and there were hardly any of the Pens left on the bench. Pretty easy to beat a team when you keep getting them sent back to the dressing room.

Matt Cooke is a piece of shit, but "Glass Jaw" Rick did take a shot at him here. Cooke deserves as many shots as he gets, but DiPietro had to expect Johnson to come out after that. The unwritten rule in hockey is if the goalie takes a shot at someone, the other goalie is the guy who has to respond, since it's not a fair fight between a goalie and another player with all the pads goalies wear. Johnson did his job. But I wouldn't cry if someone suckered Cooke like Domi did to Samuelsson in '95.

We are just a couple of games into the season, and he is basically scoring a goal a game. Gritty, is the word for Cooke. He plays old time hockey, if you can't handle it, dont watch it.
