  • Is there no end to what this man can create on the spot with regards to songs he has played 100 times before? He just keeps adding and adding and adding!!! Unbelievable staying power!!!

  • Funny to hear Leo run down his own vocal ability when so many people love it--myself included. Of course he isn't trained and doesn't naturally have "a voice," but his vocal on 8 Miles High, for instance, is geniunely haunting, as another poster has pointed out. Thanks for putting these up,

  • is there something like a collection of Leo kottke's anecdotes available in bookstores on somewhere in the web?

  • @feristelli If only!

  • Thanks for putting these clips here. Have not listened to him since the early eighties. He is fantastic!

  • Wow,Leo is one of a kind. No one better on the 12 string. His vocals are haunting.

  • Something about Leo's voice makes 8 Miles High come alive...the feeling of being distant from the crowd you're in the middle of. rain gray town. If it could be put into words, the performance wouldn't be so striking, and so special.

  • Like any Leo Kottke performance, the stories are at least a third of the package - the dry, droll delivery and the always impeccable playing overcome the wind and crowd noise. I own more vinyl from this guy than the Beatles...

  • Everyone who walks in front of the camera is monochrome. O_o

  • 1. Eight Miles High

    2. Crow River Waltz

    Very nice
