  • Wish i could play 1/10th of what he does!

    J5

  • theres a reason why this video hasnt got a million hits, and thats because most guitarists dont know a true virtuoso when they hear one.

  • Amazing guitarist, thats why some of the best look up to him. Cant wait to see him and maybe meet him one day.

  • Check out Canada's Steve Pitico, ripping thru the very same tune, with all the same definition that Brent is doing...Thanks to Brent for writing this puppy.

  • It's fast, virtuosic and tasty.... but, I don't think I saw any of them smile the entire time :(

  • awesome improv ending, could of went horribly wrong.

  • lmao, people are talking in the background, i guess i don't feel so bad now.

  • i could do that....NOT!!!! LOL

  • the best country !!

  • this guy's incredible..

  • Brents style is not generic? He the most recorded player ever, he started that style what a lot of players try to mimic

  • my preference is for johhny hilands stuff because i find hiland a more cleaner tasteful player.

is it me or does anyone find masons style kinda generic?

  • @PRODIGYat43 As guitar players if we could play half as good as this we'd be fuckin awesome.

  • @PRODIGYat43 When every country guitarist has copied his style, it's not called generic...it's ICONIC...look up the definition

  • he has played on EVERY album alan jackson has ever made.that`s testament to his playing alone.

  • Purely amazing and practically flawless-well seasoned kick ass player!!!

  • Hope he makes a good living? LOL!! About 10 years ago he was the number one on call Nashville session player, and if you couldn't sound like him...you didn't work! He's been on literally hundreds if not thousands of the biggest selling albums of all time. My guess is, he doesn't have to work.

  • These guys make bank. They get union pay for sessions they play on. 400 for a 4 hour session. If you're the band leader you get double. He might even get more because he's in high demand.

  • BRENT Rules period. He is amazing and I too hope he makes a good living. Very few reach this level of talent. My good lord, it makes me want to just put the guitar back in the case.......WTF Brent!!...LOL

  • I can do. that! LOL!!! excellent player. my dad got me turned onto him. like Brad paisley better though...

  • THE BRENT MASON HOT WIRED PEDAL IS AWESOME

  • very hot wireded! greatest player i know and totaly underrated! a genius!!!!

  • The steel player is Paul Frankin. Best A team player I know. Actually toured with Dire Straits for a while.

  • Holy jesus who is playing steel??

  • Love Brent Mason, one of the best guitarists on the planet.

  • My HERO!

  • Wow...burnin' it up man!!!

  • Is that Buddy Emmons on the Steel?? Damn sure sounds like him - but he's hard to see.

  • the best ive ever heard by far.......

  • God Damn! ber chika de der dow.

  • @drmarv punks suck this guys is one of the best in the world

  • @jamielennon1 i love brent's music, but i love punk too.

  • He is the top sessions player in Nashville. Follows a long line of great pickers like Ray Flacke, Phil Baugh, etc... And yes he does make a very nice living. He and Paul Franklin Jr on pedal steel is what I would call the dynamic duo!!

  • This is excelent but what happened to the lights? Loved it. Thanks for posting.

  • Brent Mason, there is only one.

  • Geez, the master country shredders , hard at work ..... freekein unbelievable. Wish they would come play in my town.

  • brent mason isn't even human. not only has he played and continues to play on practically every county album made in the past 30 years, he also has had time to release 2 solo records and is fluent in Jazz. probably a really sweet guy, but i hate 'im! ;) (not really)

  • @moseseseseses "That drummer" was probably some guy called Eddie Bayers... :D

  • Esse cara é simplesmente o maior!

  • As a guitarist for many years, this guy is one of the best. I like all styles of music (partial to Randy Rhoads and his 75 Gibson Paul and his Marshall Plexis, sweet metal sound), but knowing how to set the tone is only part of the equation. It's in the fingers. I really love Brett's versatility. He is an excellent jazz guitarist. For the poster who hoped he makes a good living...check out his MySpace page and all of the artist he has played for and draw your own conclusion.

  • Folks Brent is simply the best. Trust me I know. There is none better

  • God damn i hope he makes a good living... when I think of the millions of albums sold by punks that can barely power chord their way thru 1-4-5. ughhh.

  • @kvuo ..You are So right.. I wish all DJ's stars we have today do their thing right after Brent one day... they be thrown in hell. :-)

  • @kvuo they all make a pretty good living. all those guys are first call players on their instruments, and have been voted best guitarist, best bassist, etc. by the Academy of Country Music multiple times :)

  • @kvuo i'd much rather listen to some punks with attitude than this incessant noodling.

  • @kvuo Living down the road from Brent I can safely say he makes a very good damn lakefront living equivalent to that of a lawyer.

  • @kvuo hehe, don't worry about Brent, he is one of the busiest session players in Nashville.

  • @kvuo He does.......

  • @kvuo He definitely makes a living. One of the top Nashville session guitarists. I believe he is on the billboard as you enter Music Row in Nashville :)

  • @kalahar007 As a Native Nashvillian, I'm guessing from your comment that you have'nt been to Nashville in a while, have you? No insult(s) intended. I only say that because "Music Row" no longer exists as it once did

15-20 Yrs ago. If you have'nt been to Nashville in a while, You, like I was, will probably be shocked.

  • @kvuo Brent was one of the highest paid musicians in Nashville for about 15 years or so...he should be okay

  • @kvuo

guess what. Brent plays on all those punk's albums (at least the ones out of Nashville) so I'm guessing he is loaded.

  • @kvuo I believe brent is a very in-demand session man for both other artists and for things like TV shows, so his living should be secure enough...

  • What an awesome player!

  • What an awesome player!

  • Hah! The red stage light bouncing off Brent's pickguard looks like flames - right where his fingers are moving! How appropriate!

  • cojonudo!!!!

  • Yee haw !!! You would love Danny Gatton !!!

  • ....Ha!.....kickin some serious Ass!!!
