This is far superior to the matrix path of neo. This game has a great atmosphere, music and some effects. At least here I can feel like Neo, having to use skill to bring down creatures. Not in the path of neo, where I feel like I am playing the traditional superhero game.

If the controls had been more difficult than the game would have been a real pain.For me personally being able to use all those cool moves without much effort was extremely fun. Especially in those sequences where there were a lot of enemies to defeat. Like the Burly Brawl.

I understand your wish.But since the games and the movies were connected those games were meant for fans of the movies. Usually casual gamers.If you want games where you have to master skills really well to advance I would suggest Devil May Cry 3 or Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 or most of the old school games.

The Matrix is also a tribute to Hong Kong action and other movies coming from the Orient (scif fi,anime) including John Woo movies (the early ones of course). So naturally also loved Enter the Matrix. But it was a let down because we could not play as Neo. Path of Neo made that possible.

He was complaining about it in connection to support his view on there being hardly any challenge in the game. But he was right in stead of storming in and keep on going forward you could backtrack to restore health and then charge in again. Me personally I liked this feature because it did make sense. It was a virtual world and as long they regained focus they regained health. On the other hand it was too buggy and glitchy which sometimes did make it frustrating at times.
@hamza641 Well sought and pointed out. In a way, Enter the Matrix was revolutionary and ahead of its time. Who'd have thought it? 80% of FPS have the same health recharge system in modern gaming which was made popular in COD 4.

Worst moment, the stage were you are chased by agents, you spend 10 min running around the level to find the exit then you learn you all you had to do was turn left at the start and stage over. GROAN
This game had alot of flaws, but there was some fun to be had. My favorite level was the one with those vampire type enemies. It was fun stabbing them in the heart with stakes.
