    IM SOOO SORRY

HE MUST HAVE FELT SO ALONE

  • Absolutely fantastic!!

  • Just imagine them him on one of these Britains got Xfactor shows.... We all should get him back to his glorious singing days. Let todays artists know this is what me as a 50 year old mum ... Calls MUSIC!!!

  • i personally know paul heaton, i lived next door but1 to him in salford, ive even had the priveledge of playing guitar with him! i last saw him about 4 months ago, and he looked pretty rough, and there are no plans 4 the b.s. getting bk 2gethabtw.

  • @xXmikeywafc10xX

what is rough? as in doped or just a bad hair day and unshaved

  • @chuckomala as in, if u passed him on the street, u could quite easily mistake him 4 a tramp, its a shame.

  • @xXmikeywafc10xX

    what a waste of talent

  • @xXmikeywafc10xX

hes just been doing a tour of the uk, riding from pub to pub on a bike playing a gig a night

  • Fantastic, Paul is one of the best pop singers of all time, no doubt.

  • is he singing about being neglected by the old-timer for the other one, or singing on behalf of them?

  • Me today, hopefully not tomorrow...

    {Classic}

  • nice to hear a singer who actually can sing

  • one of the best vocal performances of its decade (and beyond)...proof - if it were needed - that heaton is the best male singer from england since...god knows...bowie, probably...maybe elton before he lost his tenor register...maybe some of blues rock singers of the early 70s...

  • dieses lied, ich kann nur uber meinem schatz denken

  • Great song!!

  • Oh the memories. This was out during my second summer of love. Reminds me of quite a few girlfriends!

  • fabulous, amazing, brilliant,

    simply great ;-)

  • fabulous

  • one of the best song ever!!

i too like the orchestra that backs up in this song!! :)

  • This is not the original version, though (i.e.the one on the album)

  • soooooooooo schön!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just need to decide which direction to sail it, instead of going round and round in circles.

  • just sleep on it :)

  • This song makes me so sad.

  • Hey GB, know what your problem is? And I am dead serious about that. You have way too many brillant bands. Loved the Housemartins and BS so much. Sniff...

  • lol i love the band and my girlfriend has been telling me for weeks to get a better taste in music and then today she came in dead giddy because Paul drinks at the pub where she works and she hadnt realised :D lol

  • and now she out of nowhere loves the band too right? haha

  • been looking for this song for years!! reminds me of a summer love, thanks for uploading, kick arse song...

  • No offense but in my opinion i truly do prefer the housemartins. But i do love this song dont get me wrong.xx.

  • brilliant group

  • Paul has such a fantastic voice!

  • hope they make a come back with new songs! xxxxxx

    please

  • best lyrical band ever.

  • agreed.

  • definatly up there amazing

  • Great song by a great band

  • Comment removed

  • Amen.

  • just great what can you sat great

  • They are from my hometown Hull :D Although of course Paul Heaton is from Sheffield, it is wonderful to see a band that has made it from my area. I want to be a singer/songwriter when I am older and the Beautiful South is a great inspiration for me. My favourite Beautiful South song, incredibly beautiful piano intro :)

  • Most under rated group ever, without question.

I'm only 19, and not one for the love-esque lyrics. But vocally i can't even understand how overlooked they are.

An amazing group, with not only amazing lyricists and backing, but amazing lyrics.

  • If you look at their history i think you will find they were not under rated. Unless you did a questionaire at donningtons monster of rock convention.

  • Go for it hope you make it support you all way

    xxxxx

  • i fell in love listening to this 13 years ago ah lovelythank you beautiful south

  • So did I

  • brilliant. also love a little time. good music to listen too. LOVE IT.........

  • Well thanks for your comments, what a load of pish.

Brilliant band,as were the Housemartins enough said.

  • Without a doubt, one of the most underrated bands of the 20th century,i know they have a big following, sold a lot of records and were big,,but still underrated,,,i think of them as a fine wine, every year i get older, the music tastes better, and its kind of sad that those years have passed when this was made because it will never be recreated.

Fine music makes for fine memories, every chord of this song springs a distant memory into the here and now,the band have gone but my memories live on.

  • What an awful fashion at 3:18.

  • Oh christ, i hope you can figure it all out mannfran!!!

  • my girlfriend left me thursday with my son shes comming 4 my son sunday and its my last chance this song reflects that

  • Definitely all the best bands are from britain!

  • I didn't know it would make me cry !

  • This is a beautiful song. If you like The Beautiful South you should all listen to a truly underappreciated band called The Magnetic Fields. Try 'All My Little Words' and 'Luckiest guy on the lower east side'. Peace, and long live Heaton, Rotheray and anyone else invloved in The Beautiful South

  • the best love song ever sad but true

  • probably the most unappreciated band the uk has ever seen - pure brilliance !

  • totally agreed

  • not entirely unappreciated...ponyboy...

it was said in the late 90s that almost everyone regared the 'beautiful south' or 'the housemartins' as their second favourite band...

that's about right - if you like subtle, ironic pop/folk/rock/soul...

they weren't as good as the smiths, or REM, or the pet shop boys, or nirvana - i suppose...

but they were almost as good - in all their incarnations...

  • Better than REM and Nirvana for sure.

  • Sorry but psb, smiths and Nirvana ? - not even close - REM yes but still they don't have paul heatons voice or lyrical talent or his ability to pick perfect harmonies

  • havent heard this song in bloody years!

not really a fan of them but i love this song

  • Is this the same place where they filmed Morrissey's Every Day... clip? It looks like a similar coast and beach.

  • The work of a Genius!!

  • great song,my favourite beautiful south song

  • great there all great long live pd heaton sid bcfc

  • sid your right we are cool long live us

  • I think this and Prettiest eyes have to be my two all time South favourites - beautiful
