I just don't get these elaborate turntables . How can anyone want all this glass and steel , so easily damaged / scratched etc ...so much work tuning and maintaining. I love hi-end tables , but why not a Linn , or an Ariston, or any one of the many truly top grade tables that are made of real wood with exquisite decoration and steel platters . This table is repulsive and I swear I would not take if it were given to me .
If a table that can sound as nice as this table is capable of, was crafted to look like what comes out of my ass after a can of refried beans and 6 Warsteiner,it would go on my shelf.
Mine is better and it plays 78's I have a very sefisticated BSR record changer. and it has 2 needles in one that's quite impresive as well I just flick the lever and it goes on the record I don't have to mess with the motor assembley. Not like these big ald glass turntables that don't sound as loud as my BSR. Mine was precision made in Great Britan!.
Yea, just shut the hell up. You obviously don't know anything about anything, especially about these things. Your stuff is made here and there.. right.
In good turntables, there are absolutely no plastic anywhere. Glass ain't as bad as plastic but it's still bad. Acrylic/Nylon are only plastics to be acceptable.
I wonder how good a turntable like that would do with asynchronous radio modulation like Slow Scan Television, cause I tried making a flexible LP with a SoundScriber with SSTV pictures on it, but the pictures are wavy because my turntable is so unstable.
can you scratch with those or are they more for just stability and sound

Linn tables are good but not top grade. Steel platter is bad to use too. Watch my video of my DIY TT.

It is not made of glass it is clear acrylic. I have a Clearaudio Champion LE and they are superb turntables,

So you decide with your eyes and not your ears?

He is being so careful with the white gloves on... Clumsy me would have inadvertently found a way to completely knock it off the table!

Really nice, how clear the acrylic is and how smooth the platter went round. Simple but beautifully made.
