I dont think he is blue... i think that is just the light in the tank... I have never heard of a blue axolotl. I only have heard of the wild color and Leucistic...

I have 2 very happy and healthy axolotl's, one grey and one white. I have had them for about 2 years now in a tank of various sized other fish including goldfish and they have been fine.

thats not a paint,its the natural color of the species, but the majority of the ones sold as pets have similar traits to or are albino
