  • Gotta say, I always liked Wind Waker's version the best. Then again, it had a very depressing cut scene to go with it.

  • That was amazing.

  • I can't describe what my heart feels when I hear this <3

  • Wonderful playing.

  • I won't choose because I can't choose. I love all the versions of this song, the original, the scary castle version from Twilight Princess, and especially this depressing Wind Waker version.

  • :D

  • finally someone who played the arpeggios at the end! and don't pay attention to the people saying you rushed, as good as you play piano i would imagine that you are fully aware of the speed you were playing. I really hate it when every person who comments on a video such as this thinks they are an expert on the music or the instrument and must put in their 2 cents

  • U kinda rushed in the bigining just slow down and follow the beats or just listen to the music when u play cuz it helps a lot trust meh...other then that good job :{D

  • 1:28 holyfuck, dude! that gave me chillzzz...D: very epic, loved it

  • A

    M

    A

    Z

    I

    N

    G

    !

  • Very well done, but you speed up much.

And I dont just mean towards the ending of the song, but you rushed many measures which should have waited a bit longer.

    But bravo my friend, bravo

  • -applauds-

I have the "official" sheet music and the third page is killing me!

  • @00adurnabrisingr00

    ...O.O

Would you be so kind as to upload that score for me? I oh so totally want that stuff!

  • bravo!

  • i love hearing the underworld theme, but i hate playing. my right hand always cramps up. -.-

  • Well done, mah boi. Now scrub all the floors in hyrule.

  • dang! i wish i could play like tht!

  • *claps heartily* Awesome! When the dungeon theme bit of the song started playing I literally got chills. Well played indeed.

  • you should play it slower

  • I'm sure that i've heard this song before, because I never played the Wind waker, is it in A link to the past? someone remember?

  • @Myznar: yeah, this song is originally from A Link to the Past. It's in the castle there.

The devs have taken this song in many other zelda games like minish cap and phantom hourglass.

  • yes, in the castle but i was a diferrent version and it was faster

  • i can play the first part easy up to when you have to do the giant scales on the left hand but at that part i cant do it :<

my hands are too small XD

  • I give you props for playing the arpeggios at the end of the song.

  • good playing, good sound, bad tempo?

not exactly, i think you do know you are playing fassssst, i like it indeed, but it feels a little like its not that song, very good, but a little off the feeling it is, farewell...

    4****

  • Rushed rushed, you rushed!

You need to slow it down and take it easy with these piece. Although the original castle theme is a bit fast, you just took off. If you listen to the original theme, is much more slow and lamenting.

It plays when the Hyrule King is left behind, when he says his goodbyes.

    Other than that, its alright.

  • Sorry I came off a bit harsh. Its a very difficult piece, and you did pretty well.

But you should try it again, slower.

  • Good, but terrible timing...

  • It sounds really good.

  • good work, just too fast this song should be more morose sounding, like you had in the beginning

  • i agree.

    very greatly done.

buut, i noticed the timing once two hands start.

Hope i can do better !! hehe, im not sure yet.

ive loved this song for at least 6 years ^ ^

    older versions longer.

  • you did fine just work onn your timing and if you have sheet music fallow each note value like a quater note is just one watch out for the other notes (i learnt them names in french so cant help you with the rest of my comment)

  • omg sounds like 1 of the songs from the mummy at the beginning

  • LOL wut

  • WOW! Great Job!

  • ur timings are all wrong. maybe his timing at the starting was off but NO ONES PERFECT, he did fine, you guys expect too much

  • yea i agree ;P

  • It's called tempo rubato.

  • Hey,hey do you can make it better?!!!

  • Hey ,hey do you can make it better?!

  • Easy there, everyone has their own perspective on how the song should sound. Plus this is the piano, people should be able to play as freely as they want to.

  • He thinks he's cool because he's playing the piano? He doesn't seem self-indulged to me. And I only replied to your comment since you called him an idiot, which is uncalled for. That's all.

  • Linkmanno, the only guy who thinks he's being cool are you. You think you're cool enough to call someone an idiot because he plays a song in his own way. What's wrong with people? Have you ever heard a live-concert of your favorite song which was played EXACTLY the same as on CD? I guess not. Enjoy life, and not by bothering other people please.

  • You guys didn't even understand what he said. lol

  • Okay

  • u are changing the tempo, and u must play with a bit more emotion ,but although good work :-)

  • This song is much easier to play than it looks.

  • OMFG SIIIIIIICK

  • I love this song. I remember a couple of years ago I would listen to this when it started playing on the WindWaker.

The tempo was a little fast in parts, but that's what made this arrangement go. Good job.

  • Okay, this was a good arrangement. I didn't favor your near-constant tempo changes, but I guess some will say it adds to the character of the piece. In any case, congrats on accomplishing the bass hand near the end. That's always a problem for me.

  • Have you music in mp3?

  • bad ass!!!

  • song of healing is the best by far:

    1.song of healing

    2.ocarina title

    3.twilight princess overworld

    4.ganondorf theme

    5.zelda's theme

  • Good choices. My favorites would probably be

    1. Song of Healing

    2. Farewell Hyrule King

    3. Ikana Valley Theme

After that I can't really pick one though, they're all so good D:

  • you are so fucking subscribed by me cause i love this song ... its my second favorite

The first one is Song Of Healing

  • Can someone post the fingerings for the left hand on the low 16th note part please?

  • j'ai trouvé ça moyen car il y a des changements de rythme qui rendent trop moche ! et la fin trop bâclée !

  • Did anyone notice when he tart playing at 1:08 with his right hand, it souns like the temple music from the first Zelda game?

  • ye i did its kool hes da best

  • Wind Waker is one of my favorites!! Can you do any from Twilight Princess???

  • they already do the trailer theme from TP ;P search it

  • For the most part I think your accents are great, but there is an obvious lack of rhythm. Perhaps you were trying to make it your own? That's commendable, and you did play it well, but if not then I would recommend you try to keep time with a metronome. You played the song much too fast imo.

  • At 1.01 the chord is wrong, according to the sheet and in the game it is Bflat F and Bflat (an octave higher)

  • what if he didnt want to play that chord how it was written and thought it sounded cooler that way?

  • Well it didn't sound cool! A lot of people make that mistake becasue they don't read the music properly! You watch another version of the song and you'll hear the difference of what's cool and what's not!

  • ppl are so harsh just be happy he tried =] i think it sounds great!

  • I am not being harsh, I play the same song and I read the music properly!

  • he tried give him some credit.

  • haha u kick ass man the best 1 ive seen haha.

think u can do a super mario rpg battle theme? thatd be wicked if u did

  • nicely played, though WAY too fast at parts, especially that little bridge between the intro and the final parts.

  • bien joué mec!

  • very nice,but too fast

  • VERY VERY NICE, man im impressed :).

Except, when you were playing the sequence on where it basically goes "G, A#, B#, Fb (or G#)", you didnt have to add in those extra notes (at least from what I read from the sheet music, but thats just me :)).

Other then that, nice job dude, keep up the good work.

  • Lol you mixed up #'s and b's... It's G Ab Bb F#

    Good playing!

  • WOW

  • This is awesome. I'm trying to learn to play this, and the whole triplet-while-you're-playing-sixteenth-notes thing is killing me. xP great gob, this is really well played.

  • good job! i would like play as good as you, but i need a lot of time in the piano...

  • Maybe it's just me because I'm used to the Wind Waker version, but it sounds a bit rushed and off to me. Overall though, good job.

  • Same here

  • how on earth did you memorize that! wow you have some skill! awesome dude!! great job!

  • memorizing is the easy part, hitting the keys right is another matter;)

great job, i'm learning this one atm xD

  • OMG!!!!!! i love this!!!!!

  • oh my god! can i take lessons i have been trying to do that same song and i always mess up in the middle.

  • wow Great,

  • i have the same music sheet acceot mine is different at 1:05 i would have been put a vid of it on youtube but my keyboard is too small

  • OMG! OMG! OMG! YOU DID SO WELL! I think the song started sounding awesome at 1:09!!!! =D =D

  • i agree with izzy24601 but u started playing to fast at 0:53. The real song is a good bit slower. Other than that excellent work

  • so? can you play it that well?

  • I'm trying to learn this song. I've got everything down but the middle part.

  • I looove this song soooo much and you played it very well!

  • cool =)

  • wow. deep. emotional. strong. touching. lol

  • wow that was great!!!!!

it must have taken u a long time to learn!!!

  • i love this song, but my fav song of the Zelda Series is the Great Sea (when you are in the sea with the lion-head boat thing)

  • :O i love the way you play this song :P

Yeah, and there is a slight error on tempo... but this lasts for about 10 seconds, and is easyly fixed.

  • Where are you reffering to about the tempoerror?? :P

  • That the intro must be played a little faster

  • No! At exact right tempo its 3 sec between the bars, so he is playing the intro perfect! =)

  • I love it. The only "error" I could notice is the drastic, gradual tempo change at the beginning - however, it works perfectly for you, making it more expressive.

I'm learning this song myself, so I don't know TOO much about it, but it sounds wonderful.

  • this is a slower version of hyrule castle its in TP too and its eaven slower=O

  • They remade the Castle Theme from "Link to the Past" nicely!

    Good interpretation of it =)

  • Awesome! you play very well! I wish i could do that. XD

  • you screwed up on the 1:49 ish part but other than that good job!

  • I love this song. I like they way you've played it as well. I felt like I wasn't listening to the same old same old. By the way... that piano is beautiful, I like the way pianos look. Call me strange if you like.

  • I play this song myself, and I feel I know it a bit. You do have talent, but I am not sure I feel comfortable about the way you mix the Farewell Hyrule King with Hyrule Castle theme. Also, the variations in tempo feels a little strange and unnatural.

This is of course ment as positive critic, and I wish you the best of progress.

  • Yeah I notice the change in tempo to. But to me it sounds right 0_0

I'm almost to the end! I've still got the hard part though =/

  • whoa! i just noticed its similar to the dungeon music in some other zelda game :O

  • i love this version of the song much more advanced than the one i play (the one from the first legend of zelda game) i think you should go on and add the finnishing part from the origonal game to this to make it sound better but in the end the outcome was pretty impressive!

  • Yeah I play the same thing except I can also play this almost....

  • Hey I'm having troubles with this. I finish the entire intro but I get into the stepping eighth notes and mess up can you help me out?

  • nvm now I'm at the Chords AFTER that.

  • go on ur GOOD!!!

  • you play well! :D

  • Your GOOD!!!!

  • Near the end his left hand looks like some kind of gaping mouth trying to eat his other hand @-@

  • Omg! It does! O_O scary. me and my friend burst out laughing at that part.

  • lol I guess so ^-^

  • Yeah! Laughed a lot on this part too!

  • 33'333 Viewer :D

    Such a great song...

  • 0:55 very nice.

  • that was really good.

    nuff said.

    go into a Nintendo career.

make the music for the next generation of games.

    nice. :')

  • never played wind waker, but the same music's also in A link to the past, isn't it?

  • "Me playing the castle theme from the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the Super Nintendo."

    That's what he said.

  • my bad...

    so... what's with the title?

  • it's also in windwaker, i think that this was the ending correct me if i'm wrong

  • correct

*SPOILER ALERT DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT BEATEN WIND WAKER*

after you beat the game the king of Hyrule drowns and it shows plays this because he dies.

    *end spoilers*

  • I don't remember that -_-

  • it is

  • oh SNAP that was SUPERTIGHT.

I remeber playing the game and I wouldn't press A because I wanted to keep listening to the song lol

    good job :)

  • Cool. :) I remember this from the game. Sadness.

  • no! keep playing!

    so beautiful...

    :`(

  • excellent...

  • HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AWESOME

oh and btw nice tempo change

  • briandm03, this song is in wind waker, in the castle of Hyrule to the end of the game

  • nice tempo and feeling

  • Omg finnaly someone who respect the tempo ! I was so sick of all these pianists who try to play faster and ruin the song's tempo just to impress stupid poeple who think the fastest you play the better you are . Now this is good :)

  • I can play this exact same song! Well, it's the version at the end of the Wind Waker (exactly the same). However, I haven't practiced it much, so I can't play the end as fast as you. The tempo was pretty wild overall, but it was a good play.

  • hoe who composed it, absolute genious. Well performed

  • The one who composed this song is a geniues

    good play man you rule

  • pleese make a turtial

  • at :53, you started to speed up a little too fast, but otherwise, i loved it

  • stop putting mean comments bitch!!!!

  • you are fucking good man!

  • I love your piano-playing...Especially your Zelda and Corpse Bride stuff. You play so well. I'm considering piano lessons now...I've always been able to play stuff on a keyboard, but not with 2 hands and stuff like you can.

    *****

  • Your left hand looks like a spider when you played that

  • Got the wrong game name on the detales. man it's wind waker

  • Actually, no, he got the "detales" (God, you're retarded) correct. If you picked up ALttP for even a SECOND, you would realize that the castle theme and Farewell Hyrule King are the same. Dipshit.

  • wonderful

  • it remember me on soo much zelda games ^^

  • This sheet and many other sheets of Nintendo can be found on ninsheetmusicDOTnet, a great site!

  • NICE JOB ON 1:07 ON!!! THAT WAS GREAT!

  • I imagine Ganondorf playing it ...

    you did quite well

  • VERYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY PERFEC

  • don't they use this song in twilight princess while in gaonondorf's castle?

  • Yeah, I think they did.

  • yes this song exists since a link to the past

  • This is one of my favorite songs off of the ost. Great job playing it sounds really smooth.

  • that song is from the legend of zelda: a link to the past, only alot slower...

  • i tought in the dessert temple in gerudo desert and there where 2 2 other places where played

  • very nice. i thought that you played it a bit too fast in the first and second 'sections' of the song, but nothing else was wrong about it

  • In my opinion, this is the most difficult song I've ever played from Zelda music. I am practicing it, but I can't play it well because it's so difficult en the speed is crazy. You can play it perfectly!
