Man, you're awesome! I think your way is the most effective method to defeat Doku. However I could only get 13 ET on him before he slashed me into pieces. Do you have some regular route to evade his attack or you just wind run ramdomly?

I don't take any particular route. One of the key aspects to this strategy is being aware of your position in the on the field, because if you roll jump away without paying attention to where you're going to, you might end up hitting the "wall" causing you to land closer to Doku, allowing him to hit you.

So in short, when doing this, don't even pay attention to Doku. Focus on the timing of the ET release and your position on the field along with where you're going to roll jump next.

finally got into the top ten on normal and hard. beat mn but think its cheap hard seems pretty balanced to me. great vid it works!! its a good way to get a little more than 1.2 mill collectively.

It's called a loop. It's a way of exploiting the enemy AI because it will always do certain things given the right circumstances.

Are you talking about the first ETor the ones after?

If it's the first one, just roll first before charging up. All the other ones are a simply a roll jump away. I'm not sure why you're having a problem with the distancing... The real challenge is getting the timing down.

I remember the interviews for this game, they kept saying the CG cutscenes in NGB will be interactive cutscenes in Sigma.

Finally playing it, what they are saying sucks! This is not interactive or anything, you're still basically playing the damn game, only thing is that you have to lose.

OMG Doku was totally owned! Why didnt i ever think of doing that. too bad that you still lose during a cutscene. Anyway, the first time i saw him, i got my ass kicked on the first strike. It's a good thing that you don't have to kill him to proceed. If you did, i would have been stuck there forever.

when i first fought him i lost in about 5 seconds! i was actually relieved at beating the samurai with the red armor (his armor was cool!) and i forgot i had low health and didn't notice. he used that shockwave thingy twice, then bye bye!

if you manage to take him down, you would unlock mission mode. In NGB, you get mission mode by beating the game once.

On normal, beating Doku in chapter 2 will unlock Mission Mode.

On Hard and Very Hard, beating him in chapter 2 will result in respectivly unlocking Very hard and Master Ninja.

And hes pretty much easy in every difficuly.

I wouldn't say he's that easy. I mean, he's easy if you can loop him properly. But other than that, I find him to be the most difficult boss to beat in story mode. Even harder than Nicchae + Ishtaros with Rachel just because of the fact that Ryu's completely handicapped for the fight.

Definitely. NGS is just a rehash of a last-gen game. DMC4 on the other hand is a current gen game that's building on the foundations of the previous installments as well as improving on them, so it's not really fair to compare the two.

The same thing happens whether or not you beat him. Ryu just falls over dead. The only difference is that if you beat him, you get 100k+ bonus karma.
