Ducati hasn't been very smart lately. They discontinue their most unique bike (SportClassic 1000) and build the Diavel – which looks like a Monster on steroids. Horrendous. I personally know half a dozen cafe racer afficionados, incl. myself, looking for this bike.
@nuphasetube Cafe Racers have come back big. I wouldn't be surprised if they reintroduce it. Ducati's brand is big these days, but launching a new motorcycle (especially from an Italian company) is still hard, long work, and years in the making.
@garrettisbetterthanU If you want this bike, be prepared to buy a new GT1000 (the current incarnation) for $12-$13k, and spend some time "cafe-ing" it out. Dropping the handle bars, a new cowl-type seat, and removing lots of "extraneous" parts. Every now and then I see a Paul Smart edition, or other monoposto sport 1000 or biposto sport 1000 on craigslist. Also you could reach out to a specialty shop the like Ducshop.
This is the perfect bike for us that think the Thruxton's too weak.

@nuphasetube It's as if you jinxed me. Mine only now is having the famous "tank spreading" issue. I thought I was immune.

What reason did they have to stop building this bike?....I really want one

@LtHawk77 Not sure why they stopped. I love this bike. Stylish and performant. I did see someone cafe out a newer GT1000, but not the same.

I did not know they made it in white. I would like to add one to my garage. And yes it is to bad they stop making them.

@2008superduke They never did make them in white. Only red, black, and yellow/orange. This bike was repainted.

@pinkypak9 Correct. It's a Ducati Pearl White they use on the 848 EVOs.
