here is how it works. broly is stronger than cell and gohan is stronger than goku. gohan gets stronger than goku during the buu saga. and broly; gohan got consantly owned by broly. cell, however, got killed by him. broly was met AFTER cell because in the first movie teen gohan turns ssj. but gohan first turned ssj in the cell saga in the hyporbolic time chamger. so if he can go super saiyan it means its after the cell saga.

Toriyama didn't want to go any further with dragonball because all throughout the series he kept saying "just go a little further with it, then I'll stop" He had no plans thereafter. BTW there is no limit to the strength at which any body can attain. So, krillin could get to goku's power, it would just take a LOOOOONG time. Goku trained the most.

From what I understand, in an older intervie Toriyama said that he planed to say that the Super Saiyan thing could be achieved by any race and cal it a "Super form". @Arlando60 i dont think stating that broly is superiour to a ssj2 sayan is accurate. goku defeated him while in ssj form with the help of the other sayans powers being funneled into him. but he was still in ssj1 form. im confident that any ssj2 sayan can defeat any number of ssj1 sayans. but just watching the movie it looks like your right in the fact that he goes to ssj then just keep powering up. it kinda looks like what trunks did aganst cell. trying to assend and ending up with a bulky body
