I was in mexico a few years ago and visited the mayan pyramids there.Our tour guide took us to native towns,where the people that still lived the mayan way were no more than 4.5 feet tall.I found it really strange that the mayans would build pyramids with steps that averaged 14 inches in height,which was about 1\3 of the height of an average mayan.
