@epicfantasy hi!thnx for the vid.well i have a tuner for my classical guitar and i tune it with it but im never satisfied with the sound of the high E string.it's just when i play chords which contain it (such as D) it gets high pitched and the sound it's not right.i tried to loosen it up a bit but then again it is not right.i don't know how to explain it other way. can you please help me?
FINALLY!!! THANK U SO FLIPPING MUCH! SIR! (0_o) you and ur long nails, I have my thumb nail long so i wont use a peck :-) also your hand looks familiar...don't you have a DVD for guitar lessons?
You shouldn't use electric strings on a classical guitar. The tension is too much for the guitar. The neck might warp or worse. They won't sound right. Try to dig up some classical strings! They are nylon and silk.
I recently bought a Yamaha CG101A and changed the strings. Was wondering why the guitar goes out of tune every time I take it out of the case. Thought something was wrong with my guitar. But your post has clarified that its a normal thing. Thanks a lot.
if you would all the strings at the end it would make the perfect video, like E string 2 times, then A string two times, then D string two times, then same for G, B and E... then all, to make the people do it just right.... thanks!
Wewty! Thank you!! My mother got me a tuner when I wsnt with her, and she got a violin tuner!! XD So finding this on here was a miracle!!! Lol. Thanks!
Hi! Yes, this is pretty normal; especially with a new classical guitar, or new strings. It will settle in and stay in tune longer over time and use. One way to help prevent and reduce this is when you are tuning you tighten the string past the correct note then bring it back down to the right note. THis stretches the string past normal then brings it back down to the right spot. It will stay tuned longer.
My G string is always out of tune no matter what I do!

@UnboundLegend Sounds like there is something wrong with the tuning peg. Check to see if it needs tightening

@per520 Hmm maybe, but don't forget that classical guitar players have the disgusting habit of growing their nails to play better =S
Therefore, I believe it's a guy, but hey who knows..

I have a question. The next day I play my guitar it's not in the same tuning. Is it supposed to be like this?
