reverb does suck..at least coming out of an amplifier. Live Hendrix...no reverb. Studio is a different story. reverb live is VERY gay.

I like reverb, but HATE it when people demo an effect and they don't demo it clean, like they are demoing a fuzz or a phaser and they think it would be a GREAT idea to keep the reverb on their amp going or add it to make it sound cool...NO ASSHOLE!

Reverb doesn't suck. it's just a type of rock you're playing doesn't suit with reverb sound. that's why you won't find it could be useful.

@mistad00m Both, duhhhh haha I have the jimi hendrix fuzz face and I love it! You can roll back the volume and clean up your sound. I dont know if you can do that with the superfuzz, but It depends on your taste.

does anyone know how this thing fares when used with natural amp overdrive? i know the big muff needs a clean tube amp to sound its best (i know its a completely different pedal, but its still an over-the-top fuzz) so i was wondering if this is amp OD friendly

I don't know if it's just me but when I first used the reverb on my amp I got a headache Ever since I have tried using it a few times and the same things happen. I can hear it in a song but not from an amp in front of me. I don't know why.

i agree most of the time that reverb sucks, i dont know if the kind of music i play contributes to it also, but i have too many times heard people who overuse it and ruin guitar sound.

I love reverb!!!! I dont care what he says. I have a vintage fender super reverb amp and it has so mush reverb thet if you turn the reverb past 7 it feeds back so much that it is hard to play over.

Interesting controls. Me thinks, me guesses that the "Expander" control adjusts hysteresis (my, how technical I am), and the "Balance" control adjusts some bias for asymmetry (all against some manner of comparator... ah, more tech terms).

This is quite unlike a fuzz like the Lovepedal 200lbs., which is really more like a distortion tweaked for fuzziness.

And yes, comparator type fuzzes don't do chords and get choppy when you back off on the guitar's volume, but notice how quiet it is.
