Wat about if you delete a program. It won't be totally gone, because time machine backs every thing up. So when you try delete something like a program or a document it would not be permanently be delete, because it will have some sort of carbon copy in time machine. Please answer my question as quick as posable. Thanks

hey. it has nothing to do with time machine. it depends on the size of your actual hard drive itself. I also have a 1tb hard drive for my mac and got a 1tb external hard drive and it works perfectly

I got an external called my passport....i can use that to back up with time machine right

Western Digital My Passports will work with Time Machine fine. Time Machine will back up til the drive is full.
