I graduated from Evergreen thirty-one years ago. It was a phenomenal party school back then, during the era of the real hippies. There were a lot of real freaks out there that made the place colorful:) This was before the Reagan tide began destroying what was good about this country. YEt, it was also one of the best educations that I ever had, and one of the hardest small colleges around. Though always on "shrooms" I worked my ass off there too.
@nankerphelge718 the sense that i've gotten from reading different college books and websites which include reviews by students about evergreen is that the social life is unique to the type of people that go there. since most of the students at evergreen are all unique in mostly the "hippie" sense, there are parties, but they're different than what you'd find at most schools. the social life works for evergreeners, so it may be boring to people who consider it boring coffee shop - esque.
Actually this guy is pretty representative of Evergreeners. Only enroll there if you just want to kick back and groove with other smug hippie types for a few years before you resign yourself to working in a Starbucks until retirement age.
@luvdomus Dude, not cool, I have a teacher who went there and is actually a really good legitimate teacher. Evergreen's not a bad college, and I seriously doubt that going there is going to present you with low paying job opportunities later in life. I'm just saying...
