thats a neat idea...I like the simplicity, but I wouldn't want a twist grip throttle on the scooter...it would work well on a bike though. I used a cheap off the shelf 48v ebike thumb throttle, and its worked great for me, and gives me a power button, and a battery indicator

ive know combined a bike-twistgripshift with an ordinary servotester using some springs to pull it back to zero at release. It works perfect. ( Ive disaasembeld the shifter and removed dthe spring so there are no "gears" anymore, it just pulls the cable when you twist it) , When my bike is finished i will show a Vid!
How du you controll the Motor? I want to build it into my bike, but i dont know how to steer since a servo signal that controls the controller normally comes from a reciever
Thats way overkill motor for a scooter haha i have one on my crusier pumps out 10kw with lithium polymer packs haha Nice work anywayz mate. OH those right turns your making the motor comes awfully close to hitting the road anyway to raise it up a lil maybe?
there is a lap we can do thats essentially a loop around the neighborhood, its just over 1/4 mile with 5 turns, and we average times around 22 seconds. We have had issues getting real top speed/gps data. I believe this is due to higher EMF from the motors messing with the gps signal. Paced by a car we've hit 50, with room to go in programming.
The turnigy is a 7kw, i guess the biggest one. This one is the 6 turn version. The 8 turn would have been better. Were still on SLA's, but turnigys coming
@kwhee07 LOL, so 400meters in 22 seconds on AVERAGE!! I don't think so somehow. 50km/h may be possible at a push on this, noway 50mph tho!! bit of honesty needed
you need a sign (vehicle make wide right turns). What kind of run times do you get with each? what size turnigy brushless? What is the top speed of each? What kind of batteries do you use?
really cool!! hey flip flops? scary!! your a brave man!! those scoots look like great fun and very fast (linked to this from the ES forum) keep up the development, Lipo packs would make a big difference!!
did u need to mod anything or will it fit right away?
