It's a shame, because if they hadn't had stuck to the typical "Russians taking over the world" story line, it would have been really good. Everything else is perfect though.

The problem was that they didn't try to do anything different with the campaign, they just went with making Russia the bad guy's. The way you described the campaign in that comment sounds exactly like the MW3 campaign. Crazy bad guy, Russians, bombs, all the same. The multiplayer on the other hand is perfect and tops MW3 easily.

@7698466 MW3 focused more on the gameplay,while battlefield 3 focused on the storyline and balanced it with the skirmishes,if you give a broader look at the two games: MW3 as i said,is heavily gameplay-based in a sense that it doesnt so much follow a solid storyline,but the gameplay factors distract you from that,if you focus on the story,there is far too much left to chance that you wont notice,BF3 on the other hand,instead of having so many variables,made sense of differing intentions

You can still have a story that does all those things, but in the end the story is still the same as the MW3 campaign deep down. Russia, nukes, kill all Americans, slow motion thrown in now and again, it's the same shooter formula. Btw, im not trolling just incase you thought I was, this is just my opinion haha. I just wish it followed a different path than the "Russia hates America" storyline.

@7698466 i understand that,both games have flaws,but MW3 had more than BF3 and you couldnt notice BF3s unless you were actually searching for flaws and loose ends,MW3 if you actually follow the storyline and not gameplay,was easily low quality,and battlefield has followed many paths before,i believe 1943 was the Japanese invasion,modern warfare has never focused on anything BUT the Russian betrayal,both contain the same elements currently,but their paths still differ

Also i plan on gettin MW3 and i feel it will be to similar to MW2 but i wish to finish up the story and play that survival mode stuff. Overall the the Call of Duty games dont change up enough of the multiplayer or interactions when playing in a fps and feels a liitle like deja vu. Battlefield 3 is probably the first game that i ever bought where i could say it is worth the whole $60. Way better than the call of duties. I loved how the game was so realistic and it is enjoyable to play. The single player was neither too short or to long, its hard to find games like that. And the multiplayers different game modes are really diverse.
