true. the original plan was he was going to sit in the chair, and I would step out from behind the door (with his back to me) and then scare him, probably resulting in him punching me in the face. Instead, he refused to sit which messed up the plans. Also, I really couldn't see out of the mask, so it took me some time to figure out which person he was.
That was a little over 10 years ago. I'm not fully grown up, and clowns are a reality, there is no scientific basis for aliens. I don't know if you were criticizing my phobia, but seriously, that's how it came off.

People are usually afraid of things that can harm them.A clown however, is just somebody dressed up in make-up.I was scared of IT the clown when i was younger too.Once i was old enough to understand how stupid it was, the fear ceased.You may have an anxiety disorder or something like that if it still bothers you
When you're 4 and told on Halloween night that if you don't watch It with your dad you have to go to bed, you'll want to watch "It" not knowing what it is. When your older sister dresses up like a clown and jumps out during the movie that makes it even worse. So I'm sorry if I'm a "pussy" because of my calourophobia, but it's not like I want it.
My greatest phobia is of clowns, so I guess that makes sense, but if a clown went up to me and did that I would probably stab them with something. Repeatedly. Maybe that's just me...>.>;
