Beautiful, smooth riding automobile!!! I used to have a 66 sedan myself!!! Had to let it go. Three Lincolns got to be too much to store!!! QUESTION: what is that dark grey box under the gas guage? I can't remember if mine had that...
While todays cars have many more bells and whisels these cars had style and tons of personality. Paint and chrome were far surperior to todays cars. In the 60's when you drove a Cad or Lincoln you were handed respect on a platter. Today It's hard to tell a Chevy from a Cad.
At .25 a gallon you could afford to drive them. Personality and style in American cars were the envy of the world. Now were just struggeling to keep par, and not doing such a good job of it.
I learned to drive in a 1962 Oldsmobile 98, the speedo was green up to 35 mph, orange up to 65 mph, then red up to...well 110 was the fastest I ever went.
For those old enough to remember bias belted tires, 4 wheel drm brakes on 4600 pound car...although I remember it was still accelerating and was smooth and stable.
In my 77 if you flored it. It would take a few secconds for the speedo to catch up then it would bounce up to speed. It was cool. Thanks for the memory!
At night it looked the same but lit up a light blue/green from behind.

I was searching for a 66-69 continental sedan or convertible but ended up in 67 imperial crown coupe! what an irony!!

I've seen similar speedometers in 57 Dodges - looks neat no matter who makes it.

I have a red bar on my 57 Monarch that goes from left to righ as speed increases. I wish they still made them.

Had the same type of speedo in a 1965 Ford Zodiac (UK) and a JU250 van. Classic stuff.

Did you know nascar uses bias ply tires? just a fun fact. Cause when you heat em up they supposedly work great.

Is it in km/h or mph?

Nice to see it red above 70... how many times has it been to 120?? :)
I like the placement of the radio and other controls in this dash. Also looks like you have FM on that radio - nice feature for 1967.

Those old speedometers are cool. My friends dad has a 50 something Dodge, and it goes green, orange, and then red in a bar like yours.
