  • Seeing the Illinois Central reminds of an old video I used to have witch looked at a marshaling yard with IC and KCS. From steam to diesel if I rember rightly.

  • beautiful filming, and find!!!!!!!

  • Great catch!!! With only 3 left this will be a great archive video for sure. SD40-2's are my fav loco, and I cant recall the last time or even ever seeing a Wisconsin SD40-2. Very cool!!!

  • love dash 2's. he short line here in Michigan has two ex Milwaukee road 2' they use on their mains.

  • great video

  • lol whenever i see 3 or more trains passing each other at once i think to myself "ahh, the rail industry is doing just fine"

  • Very nice footage especially the I.C unit the 2nd unit back I won`t comment on the 3rd unit especially liked the triple track action good timing good job all the way around keep up the good work thanks

  • Damn what a busy railway! Nice rare catch to with the WC and IC OLS.

  • Is that Spokane Vally WA?

  • It's the CN that is really making it great!!

  • very boreing

  • @goldwingswansea go to hell

  • longest title on youtube but nice video, lol

  • Soo cool you got it on video !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome catch!! Good mix of power ...40 / 60 / 75 !! Great bass at the end too!! , crank the sub for this people.

  • I like trains.

  • Three at once. How could anybody mark that Thumbs Down ?

  • Nice one 5star thx

  • brung a tear to my eye absolutely one of the best videos ive ever seen thank u so much

  • Nice catch!

Could get dizzy from the contrary movements.

  • It worked out nice that they were on different tracks.

  • THREE TRAIN MEET :D

  • Nice video; brings back some nice memories of WC collections of power I'd occasionally see through Mt Prospect. SD40-2 was one of my favorites...

  • ok btw why are these so special?? im not trying to be mean im just asking why??? can any one tell me??

  • i don't understand why you are chasing a train?

  • awesome chase amazing catch on both the WC locomotive & the OLS IC unit!

  • As always Wisconsin leading Illinois

  • AWESOME Vid dude. 5* A++

  • Right on the old B&OCT

  • does anyone think its kinda ironic that that the wisconsin central and the illinois central are both #6006?

  • @celica825 yeah i just noticed that they both have the same number that is really odd

  • very nice!

  • Nice job with that 3 way meet.

  • WC 6006 was sold to the Wisconsin Great Northern railroad for freight service along with a DMIR SD38. Those two have a nice long life ahead of them!

  • What a lashup! Notice: WC and IC 6006, one train.

  • i dont see wat the big deal is?.. i wish i really witnissed that 3 way tho.. lol

  • I recognize 63rd and Archer, 71st Street grade crossing by Toyota Park and 79th Street bridge over the IHB. How did you get up the bridge so fast? Did you pull over, park and put the flashers on? lol This is right before traffic started to die down on the IHB with the economic downturn and it was common to see 3 or even 4 trains at the same time between 71st and 87th Streets.

  • @TBirdSCIL I thought part in homewood at 171st. Thank you for the post on locations. Good info.

  • i just noticed somthing crazy both the Wisconson Central & Illiionis central are both 6006 thats somthing u dont see everyday 2 units on 1 train with the same unit number

  • Funny WC and IC 6006

  • WC 6006 & IC 6006: Ironic isn't it?

  • by the way, that part above the video is for the Title! It is not supposed to be a Full description of the video!

    LOL

  • I live in brestwer ohio Wheeling and lake eire Own that loco's sister

  • hahah long ass title

  • He has much longer titles.

  • Cool! I'm from L&N country, and I've read about WC, a champion among the shortlines, and thought I would check it out. Great video, good cutting and the sound picks ups well. Good work! Does WC still run Alco's? Paducah & Louisville I think dumped their first generation EMD's once they got the newer ones, so I'm wondering WC did the same with the Alco's.

  • @bennoach

Yes, WC was a champion among shortlines, but sadly, WC no longer exists. They were purchased by CN in 2001, and have since been fully integrated into CN's system. This train just happened to be headed by a former WC locomotive which hasn't yet been repainted.

  • huh... wisconcin central 6006 and illinois central 6006...good catch at 3:52

  • im shocked to see that nobody saw the second unit at 4:07 has opls (operation lifesaver) sighn on it

  • sweet catch !

    5 stars !! :D

  • Great catch.

  • Nice video mate, and an interesting note re WC being bought out by CN..Just as WC bought out and then pillaged the profit from New Zealand Railways, before selling the system out to Toll Australia, who did the same and now its back in NZ hands..for how long who knows..

  • Nice CSX power too...darn nice of that intermodal train to give you a gap to shoot the WC power at that crossing!

  • WC 6006 and IC 6006...nice.

  • Nice, but it doesn't live up to your breathless headline.

  • wow. nice catch of the side-by-side meets. Especialy the 3rd one, That 1 is sweet. A 3 way meet.

  • Great show. The lead unit looks like ex-milwaulkee road with short fuel tank, and and Illinois central SD 40M without dynamic braking.

  • The lead unit, WC 6006 is a former Algoma Central SD40-2, not Milwaukee. It's one of 6 originally built in 1973 for the AC.

  • @acsoosub and how the fuck do you know that?

  • @xxHaloVidsxx I'm not sure how many WCs are still left now; I'm pretty sure some of the GP40s and the ex-Algoma Central GP38-2s are still around. As far as I know, so is the 6006.

All of the SD40/SD40-2 units on WC were acquired through WC's takeover of the Algoma Central.

The WC 6006 is formerly Algoma Central (AC) 188, built by GM in London, ON in 1973.

  • wow its ultra rare to see dash 2's anymore.... Everythign now is the GE Dash 9 awesome vintage train

  • Comment removed

  • Great video and very rare two SD40 one Illinois Central and other Wisconsin C. with #6006¡¡¡¡ yeah congratulations 5* and favorites sorry ,my english its bad..

  • Great Video!!!!!

  • super awesome

  • is WC still around and if so how many engines do they own?

  • WC was bought out by Canadian National in October 2001, but a number of WC engines still remain on the roster in WC paint.

  • oo ok cn buys out every thing i think they should go back 2 canada

  • good catch by all means

  • yeah but it looks bigger then a sd40 it looks like a sd60

  • is the ic unit an sd60 or sd70

  • It's actually a SD40

  • Nope. SD40A

  • SD40R. There is no SD40A.

  • Awesome former Algoma Central unit. The whole former CN/IC/WC spectrum. Nice line-up. What a lucky shot.

  • want to be friends nick? im a train buff to!

  • Wow...is there really only three....gee I caught 6004 twice, and 6006 about 5 times!

  • WC SD40-2 #6006 and CN #6006 is former or what?

  • WC 6006 is a former Algoma Central engine.

  • Oh, I see! I've never heard about that so thank you for your info about were SD40-2 former :)

  • Seen WC 6006 crossing into the USA at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on 10/10/08.

  • Well a Fabolous catch there Nick! Im just glad i saw one before they were all gone! Well thats interesting WC 6006 and Ic 6006 back to back then a CN Sd75I i think. But Nice catch with the 2 trains going to same speed & the same direction! CSX 7641 is a C40-8 and surprisingly in good shape! WC 6006 looks and Sounds Great! Wow 3 trains at once lol! 3 for 1 there! I actually think i've seen CN 5688 before...

  • Great catch!

  • Pause at 1:26

Is that 2 trains going the same direction at the same speed? Has to be.

  • The luck of the Irish....

  • Nick, your titles get gayer and gayer every time you upload a video.

  • Joe, your jealousy gets higher and higher every time you view one of my videos.

  • lol thats one way to tell them off NicK!

  • @NicTrain35 Doens't CN give WC some of it's own power since WC sold their SD45s?

  • Nice catch. reminds me of the time I saw a WC SD45 in Spokane Washington.

  • Impressive!!! I have not seen a lash up like that since I visited the Homewood IC shop!!!

  • Having the last six videos uploaded all as "must see" it dilutes the importance somewhat.

  • Wow Nic, great catch!! I miss the WC and saw it often when I lived in Wisconsin. If you find more that would be great!!

  • That's something I thought I'd never see, one a rare WC SD40-2 in service and 2, two of the same number on one Class 1 train.

  • thats a former Algoma central loco, the WC bought it

  • WC 6006 and IC 6005 in the same lash-up! cool

  • Nice catch

  • Thanks great job Nick in which city was it?

  • Thanks very much, Pete! The first section of the video (where the train is moving across the overpass) is in Summit, IL. The location where I caught the train at the crossing is also Summit. The overhead video on the bridge and the last section were in Bridgeview, IL.

  • Awesome catch on that WC! Also cool how both the WC and IC engines are numbered 6006. That looks like a busy place there with 3 trains.

  • Thank you very much, Patrick!

  • very nice catch!

  • Thank you very much, Steve!

  • Awesome catch, Nick! You win some sort of prize for most exclamation points in a title (I count 26). 5***** sound like a good prize?

  • Thanks very much, Peter! Haha, yeah, lot of exclamation points, but for a WC, it's good cause. LOL!

  • yeah cn trains that come from toronto range from 165 cars to 180 cars thats to long because danger is just lurking around the corner

  • Holy cow. That definitely is long. What's dangerous around the corner?

The longest train I have ever seen was a mixed freight that was 172 cars. It was bound for CN's Glen Yard.

  • its probably around 13.000ft long

  • Knowing CN trains, that's probably true. LOL!

  • You guys down in Canada probably catch a whole bunch of the long CN trains.

  • dam you should got the hole train at the end

  • It moved extremely slow and stopped about three times before getting up to a decent clip (which was about 15 MPH). It was also really long.

  • what was leading the coal train and was there dpu

  • I wasn't able to see the power for the coal train, but I know that it didn't have a DPU. I would guess UP power.

  • wait a minute never mind. I didnt know there were only three left.

  • Unfortunately, three. Hopefully 6006 sticks around for a while.

  • yeah I figured there was still a lot I just wasnt in the right spot at the right time. hopefully they send one down here in the daytime.

  • I dont get it I still see these on the Peoria sub pullin grain trains from East Dubuque to Decatur sometimes.

  • Wow that is rare! How do you get such long titles in there?

  • It's part of the new youtube thing. I got some videos with long ass names too.

  • Yep, definitely!

Looks like Youtube has a new uploading process.

  • rare to see locos from differant roads with the same numbers on the same train.

  • Yeah, it sure is.

  • Nice one of that guy boxed in between two CSX's!

  • Thank you very much, Alex!

  • good video.i have some pics of WC 6006.the IC SD40-2 was also 6006.

  • Awesome. Thank you very much, David!

  • Hey you got 2 engines with the same number in the same video! Really cool! 5*****!

  • Thank you very much, Gene! Yeah, that was really cool!

  • Nice one!

  • Great video.

  • Thank you very much!

  • Awesome!!!!

  • Thank you very much, Trey!
