I listened to this on a cousins record players (he has sinced passed away to suicide over mental health issues) for the first time in 1977 and was amazed.
Put your votes in today guys the list for bands missing out of the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame is way to long including ELO, The CARS, Rush , Yes, Deep Purple, Blue Oyster Cult and more
one of the most underated bands of all time, there my fav band ever
i was like, 11, 12? when they really set their music into my heart, a road trip from England across France, Germany, Austria and then into Hungry, just in the car with this sorta music Rinsing in the background.. wow memorys, if only music was an 8th of what ELO are
is very creative music I love elo my heart is elo Polska kocha jp kurwa i kazdy frajer ginie w krainie ziooom o co ci choxdzi co sie prujesz matak cie nie kocha, działas jak prostytutka bez 3 tygodni bez peniisa w dziurze ruro bez sasad napinaczu kurde pieczone cekawe ile wogole masz lat co? no co jest kurwa, wjasnimy to sobie czy robisz po gaciach hyy?
It's hard to put into words how great the music of ELO really is. Here I am listening to this song some 30+ years later and it sounds as fresh and as heartfelt and inspiring as anything I've heard since. As great as their commercial success was, I still think ELO is one of the most underrated bands of all time on a purely artistic level.
I love Jeff Lynnes heartfelt vocal and lyrics. "Don't you realize the things we did, we did were all for real? And not a dream." So sad, love this song.
Music structurally speaking: this song has it all. Great chord progression, great melody, good movement. All around a great piece of music, no matter the genre.
susarkhan123 is a fuckin idiot ...anyways im about to be 18 in 2 weeks but my age dont matter ....it is my taste in music and this is good music i dont care i wasnt born in the 70's but hell i like the music ...i bet those days were better than now ....at least in music for all i know
This song was my portal into the world of ELO. I loved this from the first time I heard it, and just had to find out what else they had done. They became my favorite band of the 70's (or any time since). I could not have stated it any better. I listened to this tune in my '71' Montego back in '77' and have never stopped....What an awesome band...
@billyriopelle Hey Billy, my first car was a 73 montego....baby blue, 10 years old when I got it but i was thrilled to have it! And yes I had ELO blasting on it all the time...and Cheap Trick too of course.

New World Record...Timeless??? You couldn't be more on the money. I bought my 16 year old son ELO's greatest hits CD and his favorite is So Fine. Telephone Line was the first ELO tune that I heard on the radio back in 1977. THEY are still my all time favorite and New Worlds Record is still the BEST!!
i got out of the blue for christmas. i cant count how many times i listened to it . i cant think of anyother group that influnence my music taste more than ELO. its like progressive rock of the 70 s. thanks for the reply
naw man. Jeff Lynne actually got laid tons of times. Read his autobiography. His penis actually basically exploded because he had sex way too many times.
Brilliant .. is not enough said .... ! The best version we've heard on this channel ....*********

bassist1708, you are confusing Jeff Lynne with the 3 Dog Night lead singer. Jeff seems like a pretty innocent guy.
